Everything! Availability of single rooms. Well thought out lay out of bedroom, cleanliness, friendly, helpful staff. Fabulous breakfast. Great view from bedroom. Impressive art deco reception/dining room. Comfortable surroundings, easy parking, proximity to sea and town. all reviews » The staff demonstrated genuine care and consideration when I was taken ill a few hours before depature. They helped in every way possible. This assistance removed stress and facilitated a sufficient recovery for me to leave with only a short delay and good memories of my time with them. The room faced the sea, was comfortable. The shower was easy to use (not over a bath). The shower room was clean. We liked the ambience of the hotel with the original features of arts and crafts and art deco style. The food was excellent, the staff very hospitable. Great location on beach front with sea view. Close to town center and amenities. Edwardian well maintained hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking as always could have been a problem, but apart from that all fine. I have this nothing to say against the hotel. I cannot say I disliked anything, really, we had a lovely time in the hotel and in the resort. The proximity to the main road, with its heavy traffic and emergency vehicles' sirens. However, the night was quiet. Lack of tv Freeview coverage in Cromer ( not your fault). Overcooked (or twice- cooked) sausages for breakfast. Wobbly table to sit up high and look out to sea. Idea fine but it was wobbly. the room could do with a bit of updating. Mildew in the shower and the shower, bath mats could do with being replaced. Booked 4 rooms and I got the worst one, small double room, a tiny en suite with only a shower and toilet, the sink was in the bedroom!! I wasn't impressed! the other 3 rooms were completely different, spacious, with proper bathrooms. Windows were dirty and affected the view, which was a shame. Music downstairs was very loud, and went on very late. My wife, who is 8 months pregnant, could not sleep. The price of £150 was too much. We have stayed in better places for a lot less. Lobster had all been sold by the time we ordered. Means that we wlll have to go back again. Look forward to it. Nothing. Although the room was very good the shower was archaic. Thermostatic showers are normal these days in all hotels and B and Bs. also grab bars are essential for safety. nothing. Nothing. From not easy to access. Phone rang at 7 am when no wake up call was requested. Dogs !. breakfast not up to the standard of some hotels I've been to. Variety etc. Car park. Missed breakfast as we were told it started at 7.30 however didn't start until 8.00 and as we had a long journey ahead of us we didn't have time to wait. Quite expensive for a b & b. Communal areas of the hotel badly needed an update. It would be sensible to limit rooms where dogs are allowed to stay with their owners just for this, one of the rooms we used had been used previously and probably due to the hot weather it still smelt of dog. More variety for the cold breakfast - we had fruit salad and croissants on the last day which was nice. Dinner portions were too big. Breakfast menu sparse. Pricey for what was provided. Poor value for money charged as if a 4/5Star. TV did not work (size16/17"). Drinks were very expensive!.
