Superb location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good self-catering facilities with option for bought full breakfast and meals. Childrens corner and lawns to play on. Only12 minute steep walk downhill to Castle and Town. A bit longer coming back!. First every time in a Youth Hostel, so impressed with Conwy YH, we had a family ensuite room, clean, very comfortable. Lovely staff, always smiling and helpful. Great setting and facilities. Would definitely recommend it and go back again.

The room was so hot even though the window was open. Nothing. Two of the lights above the beds didn't work, hadn't been checked. Nothing. Having to make own bed. charge for towels and soap. Cooked breakfast not up to standard. WiFi is 5 pounds per day. Our room was far too small to move out. We booked a twin room but was given a small room with kid size bunk beds. Not right! And we're 2 middle age adults, one with a bad back and tumour in foot! Ended up sleeping on floor near front door/bathroom. Rooms to hot no ventalation, Smelt damp corridors, shower door hanging off. Room not terribly clean. Food can best be described as 'institutional' (reminded me of school dinners :-(. &Gt;The room was an oven when we arrived with heat on, drapes open and window closed. It was almost as hot the next day. There was no compassion from the young lady on duty. &Quot;You can open the window (4" maximum) and the door and it will gradually cool off." >Lack of space. We literally had to squeeze by each other. &Gt;Suitcases had to be on the floor. We've stayed in lots of hostels, but this was the worst. &Gt;Floor was dirty.
