The environment of both the location and the standard of the design and build. The staff are very helpful and the food is prepared to very high quality whilst providing a good range of 'posh-nosh' and bar meals. The leisure facilities are of the highest standard that I have encountered and I write as someone who stays in hotels across the UK on a weekly basis. Full use of the Spa and the message treatment I had was very enjoyable and relaxing. I found the staff very friendly and helpful especiallly Ollie who went way beyond the call of duty as our car had broken down and we needed a recovery service.

The SPA staff were excellent too. Fabulous new hotel with great rooms and facilities. Pool and spa very good, staff extremely professional and friendly. Brilliant breakfast and bar food good too.The view from the room was excellent as were the facilities offered, also we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived til we left. The spa area of the pool could have been a little bit warmer.No. We were well pleased. Motorway traffic noise when patio door or window open.Not the most user friendly car park design. The restaurants were booked out and had to eat at the lounge, I guess itmeans it is good food!. My only down point was we decided to order room service and treat ourselves to breakfast in bed but when we got it it was stone cold and that was really upsetting. would have liked a drinking glass in bathroom. Spiders on ceilings in corridors. The music, defintely the music. Don;t need it or it shold be quiet.shortage of staff in the restaurant and bar aeas on the Saturday evening. -only one 'soft sitting' chair in bedroom.I found the rooms to be noisy. The front door of the rooms were not sealed and therefore let through a lot of noise. We had to queue for breakfast (40mins) on final day.this became a problem as we had massages booked.We had given ourselves plenty of time this made breakfast very rushed which disappointed us. We did asked to be given priority but staff were unwilling to help as this would cause problems with other guests. re-stocking of toiletries in bedroom- sauna and steam room closed down and cleaned prior to 9pm shut off entry time- poached eggs awful but rest of food lovely. The evening meals were expensive for what you got.The only thing we didnt like was only one small opening window which you needed to be 6ft tall to open all the other windows were fixed panes of glass wouldnt be very good if there was a fire!! you would have to rely on only one exit to get out of the room. Not really a critisism of the hotel, but there was very little reception for a mobile phone so most people were found wandering around outside on the phone.The food was not up to standard for a 4 star hotel and this was conveyed to waiter and manager. I would recommend the hotel as long as the food was improved. Room service, time for meal to arrive and very poor quality of the food it provided. The hotel did not charge us for this when we complained.room was a bit bare, so not overly homely.
