What people say

Very relaxing atmosphere. Liked the bungalow idea for the rooms. Fantastic suites for the function side of the business. We were attending a function and the room, table layout and decoration together with the staff and catering were to a very high standard.Great Location, efficient staff, clean, comfortable room and good facilities. Excellent value for money. Will recommend.
all reviews Nice situation, grounds seemed nice.Staff very friendly. Set on lovely grounds and ideal for visiting the park.Room comfort and facilities. The food was excellent, the children enjoyed the shows. Good food, friendly helpful staff.Easy for the purpose. I have stayed at the hotel before, I like it because it is clean, in good decorative order and comfortable. Easily found from the motorway.Hotel was a typical BestWest. Good range of facilities, averagestandards of cleanliness, and service, although rooms we had were in"the village" and a little damp.Beautiful setting and lovely facilities. The staff were very friendly and our friends rooms were lovely. IT was a beautiful place for the wedding we were at.Liked the leisure facilities and the extensive menu at meal times. not a great deal. Pool was lovely and staff friendly and helpful.Good dinning area,I never comment on hotels usually but the rooms in this hotel need a good clean and referb,ie prevous guest socks in drawer, dusty tv,draught through windows sqicky water taps, list goes on...Large bedroom. Nice breakfast.Convenience and price per night. Breakfast was good. Felt like a holiday camp, room cold,no water pressure in bathroom unableto have a shower or even clean our teeth.Wife found lack of suitable lighting for putting on make-up in bedroom and bathroom a problem.Next time will book 2 nights!. I stayed in our first room for about 20 seconds before changing to onethat didn't smell. The second one was nice though. The decor neededupdating, we could see wallpaper peeling off the walls and lightfittings had been moved with poor refinishing work. Can't be bothered toread guest reviews for the next but one question. When i woke up in the morning after sleeping in the day room there was ants all over the floor in which my children were not happy about so they stayed in the bedroom until we checked out apart from them i was rather pleased.Finding our room was not easy and the staff were not forthcoming on giving directions. Breakfast was not great - delayed opening of restaurant and so-so after that. The room I was given was next to the lift, it sounded like the lift needed oiling kept me awake and then woke me up in the morning. No Internet Access in "The Village", ,despite Booking.com saying accessthroughout hotel. Also, major problem (unless you are gong there) isthat Hotel is on camleot theme park. May be a problem of access duringpeak times for business users.Wasn't the best of rooms. Our side drawers were very wobbly and we couldn't use the wardrobe as 2 hinges were broken. There was cracks in the walls and ceilings and there was moldy popcorn under the bed. Having said that there was nothing wrong with most of our friends rooms so must of just been bad luck. But if I was staying there long term i.e a week I would of asked for a change of rooms.Thought the bathroom needed a complete overhaul and the stains on the carpet needed to be removed. The room was not good for the price that I paid. There was no restaurant menu in my room so I didn't use the restaurant. The room service menu was very limited.the picture on the website was nothing like what we got. I felt like we were at a Butlins holiday camp. Disappointing. Also the shower didn't work and we had to try to wash hair etc in the bath. Also not so good.Room was a bit tired and shower rubbish. Couldn't watch TV from the bed in the main room and nowhere to plug in the kettle that didn't seem a bit dangerous, especially for a family room!. There was no where to park near reception and no indication where to go when it was full.We were not very happy to learn that we were not in the main hotel we had booked well in advance. The staff informed us where to park and apologised that it was dark and not much lighting. We had to walk in the rain with very poor lighting from the car park to our room stepping in deep puddles. The reception staff were as welcoming as i have experienced in other hotels. on check there was no mention of where breakfast was or facilities available at the hotel. The room was cold and was operated by a panel heater. Some lights in the room didnt work. Bed was spongy.Dinner was poor for the price, the bathroom had black mould and I neededto 'clean' the shower head before I could use it.Expected to have a room in the Hotel itself, but was located in a chalet which was rather shabby and not worth the price. Generally the staff were very good and helpful except for the bar staff at night.the standard of accomodation for the price paid.
