its is nicely situated on the east of Cheltenham ideally for walkers and business people. The staff are nice and friendly you get a good welcome and the owners will greet you when you arrive or see you off when you leave. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean there`s a few little added touches in every room. for walkers they have a boiler room for drying your clothes etc, for business people nice place if you do not want the hassle of the town to stay. you get a grt selection for your b.
all reviews » This welcoming hotel just outside Cheltenham is on a quiet section of the A40, with views across the garden to the hills beyond. You can easily get into Cheltenham by bus and there are lots of walks in the surrounding countryside. The hotel has a conservatory, bar and restaurant (which we didn't try but the menu looked attractive). There are plenty of books and newspapers if you prefer to stay indoors. Our room was dual aspect with views of the countryside and had good coffee and tea makin. If you're looking for a big-citycentre hotel, you're wrong, but if you like a place where you'll feel as welcome as when you're at home, then this is the place to be. The staff couldn't care any better for their guests.Room was spotlessly clean and, that a first for me, there a a lot of hotels that don't, cleaned every day without having to ask. Although the single room was a simple one, it even had a decent desk to do some work on. Bathroom was adequate and very clean too. Breakfast was nice . This hotel was superbe for the money and dog friendly. It was immaculate and I encourage all who use it to really respect that when they bring their dogs so that us dog lovers can continue to bring them. Perfect for walking dogs as close to country paths. Also eclectic pictures on walls to stimulate the mind and unusual interesting wine at reasonable price. Very accommodating with the food as I am vegetarian .thankyou . We were given a warm welcome and found the owners very helpful. The bedroom was very comfortable and we liked the modern decor. If using SatNav, use a high number for London Road as low (house) numbers can take you up to two miles away from hotel in Cheltenham itself (no fault of hotel and something for letsbookhotel.com to think about). In general a very pleasant stay and will use again. The room was overly warm, but had I remembered from my previous stay, I would have opened the window a little. The location was not as close to the M5 motorway that I expected it to be. The traffic in the morning to get back onto the motorway was horrendous. I could not find anything negative to say about my stay. Very limited choice of beers in the bar. Had to check in by 10-10:30 (which meant we were forced to leave the wedding we attended early) This should be clear at time of booking. Noisy people in the next room > 01:30 hrs but not the hotels fault.. No complaints at all... :). Just a bit too far from local amenities. Wifi in room too weak. My only gripe is that it is directly on the A40 traffic noise can be a bit of a problem if you sleep with a window open. cobwebs. Nothing. Wifi sometimes broke down A bit far out to get to a local pub. Nothing. Nothing. Bit picky but I don't like full cream milk, so a choice would be nice. Sorry that sounds so petty. None. Nothing!. Our food is unpretentious and straightforward, but of good quality. It's fairly traditional in style but it's mostly home-prepared and cooked to order. We don't cater for large numbers so our menu is small, and it's based on what most of our customers seem to want. Dining style is casual and informal. Last orders for dinner is at 20.30. Breakfast is served from 07:15 until 09:00 on weekdays, and from 08:30 until 10:00 at weekends. Dinner is served from 18:30 until 20:30.
