This historic and fashionable hotel has undergone a major refurbishment. It is set in beautiful gardens with mature trees and 2 small lakes. The recently opened Parker Wing offers rooms with Juliet balconies.
Delicious food is served in the hotel restaurant which has been awarded an AA Rosette for its high standard of cuisine. Meadowhall Shopping Centre is just a short drive from the hotel, and the M1, M18 and M62 can be accessed easily.

The hotel was easy to find, the staff were inconspicuous but extremely polite and helpful.The room was immaculate, warm without being overpoweringly hot and the bed exceedingly comfortable.The breakfast was of very tasty and piping hot. I have nothing but praise for this hotel it was a delight and I would happily recommend it to my friends. This was our second visit, we enjoyed it even more then the first. This time we stayed in the main part of the hotel in the most beautiful huge bedroom. Wardrobe was in a seperate room which was a lovely touch too.all reviews »
I have no complaints what so ever, the hotel was just amazing, the best i have ever stayed in and location brilliant. The most helpful staff ever. Highly recommended. the service and the upgrade to deluxe room - brilliant - the staff - food - location -ambiance - peacefulness - comfort - luxury. All of the above, the bed was the most amazing bed i have slept in and all of the staff were lovely and made you very welcome. Full of character - have stayed before and will do again. Better in summer when grounds/countryside can be appreciated.good sized well fitted bedroom - comfortable lounge - nice 'old fashioned' attitude - quiet location but close to M1. Was a specvial deal, so value for money was good. Food was excellent. Given the price, would recommend to anyone.Have stayed a few times now and always find the rooms immaculate with really nice little touches. Staff excellent. Beautiful surroundings, friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. We will visit again when we are in the area. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The free glass of port in your room was a nice touch as well. Stay again if I can get that rate. only towel rail in bathroom was not on and towels were still damp next morning- a very minor thing as experience over all was excellent. no real ale!. Arriving after dusk Hotel sign was hard to see. suppliments within the menu. I found reception staff not particularly welcoming. The breakfast was not too good. The price of the food at over £25 for starter and main is a bit pricy for the average business traveller.
