The staff were excellent, very friendly and great service. We had dinner on one occasion and breakfast on both mornings of our stay at the hotel and all three meals wee superb. easy to get to , facilities were very good. staff were very helpful as one of the 2 rooms booked did not get to the hotel system. It was remedied with no fuss or problem. Very pleasant setting and the health spar was particularly of a high standard. We used the facilities twice during our one night stay.

Noise isulation between rooms not good - we were disturbed by a couple having a 'domestic' (in welsh!) at 1.30am in the next room.No paper delivered to room?? Train dosn't run to hotel on Sundays. Only a very small thing, but the shower wasn't very good, would have like a power shower.quite a distance to walk to the room but probably as well as very quiet. Found the restaurant a little expensive for families to dine. A little noise from the bar, but not a problem in this instance, others may find it a little disturbing though. Noise insulation between walls appears thin - but we were not disturbed. We were pleased to have read the prior reports and asked for a room which was not above the entertaining suites. The price of the beer was expensive as compared to some higher rated hotels i have stayed in. Was a long way from Cardiff city. The food selection was quite poor, as there was not much choice other than pub food. We were put in a room quite some way away from reception. The hotel is a bit rambling.Slight smell of smoke in our 'non smoking' bedroom.
