I booked this apartment as my daughter had a heart operation at Bristol Children's hospital which was in walking distance. The apartment was spotless and offered some comfort for me to escape from the hospital for an hour or so. On arriving in Bristol we had terrible trouble parking so I rang the apartment to ask if there was any chance I could check in and park earlier than the agreed time. The lady I spoke to was amazing even though she couldn't get us in straight away she did ring back withi.
all reviews » The staff were very helpful when we requested an extra bed and also extended our stay by 2 days. The apartment had everything we require for a family of 4, comfortable beds, good showers, lovely toiletries, washing machine, iron, leather couches. It was very secure and Tesco's was literally around the corner. The bus station is very close by and Cabot Circus mall is in walking distance. Apartment much better than staying in hotel or b & B. Traveling with my 90-year old mother, the kitchen for meal prep was perfect when she didn't feel like going out. Location was perfect for visiting relatives in Weston, Clifton, and Bristol. Secure parking. Everything we needed was within walking distance. Secure building / Quiet / like home away from home. Very stylish, extremely clean, large comfortable sofas and very well equipped kitchen. Less than 5 minutes to the bus station. A travel cot was provided for my daughter at £4 a night extra. I've stayed in Bristol a lot over the last few months and Alderman definitely provide the best accommodation. This place was fantastic. We had plenty of space - 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, kitchen, dining table, and living area. It was clean and well supplied. Within walking distance of everything - shopping, art, dining, bus station, etc. Choosing this was the best decision of our whole uk trip!. Very convenient for town centre but also a quiet location. General quality of apartment was excellent. Hospitality tray. All necessary Kitchen equipment provided. Loved the large spacious wardrobe. Well detailed instructions for obtaining keys etc. Would definitely stay there again. Love the location. Easy access to everything in the City Centre area. It's great to have space to "live," make your own meals and have some privacy - unlike a hotel! The wi-fi is great. When we had trouble with a window, we sent an email and maintenance came straight away to fix it. Rating the staff is difficult as we did not meet anyone as it is all self service but worked very well. I usually stay in hotels but I would use this service over a hotel every time. nice sized apartment, modern furniture, helpful staff as I had booked one room to be a twin and it was made as a double but they quickly sorted it. Lots of shops and places to eat nearby. Very nice place. The apartment was of an extremely high standard and in a great location. Staff were really helpful prior to our trip and when problems arose during our stay. The rooms were nice and spacious and the kitchen had everything supplied that you would need (not food). Although double glazed the sound was penetrating and Sat night was very noisy. Also every day at around 8.00am workmen started drilling in apartment below. There was no top sheet so if hot it gave you no option but to duvet on or off. There were no hooks in bathrooms to hang clothes on. On the last night we moved to a new apartment overlooking courtyard and this was much quieter so it depends where you are. Would like to see smokers' outpost in the courtyard. Would avoid having cigarette ends scattered about. Washing machine was loud and took ages and there was no cupboard space for food. Also the beds were on the small side and very creaky!. The building had issues with a faulty fire alarm. Notices were in the room our first day. Notices were later removed. Last night of our stay, the alarm went off in the middle of the night, nearly scaring us to death! But, stuff happens. I wouldn't let that discourage anyone from staying there. A king size bed would fit in the bedroom?. Would benefit from some hooks in the bathroom for hanging clothes etc. In the room where we stayed this time, the bed reeked of body odor. It was so bad that it caused the whole room to smell. We had to prop open the bedroom door or it would overtake us. Very unappetizing. Parking space was very inaccessible dirty windows pigeons roosting complicated security even for bins not enough kitchen storage fan in oven very noisy. Nothing. quite a build of noise from building works in other apartment. booking said balcony but there wasn't one. Dining table was quite small for 6 people to have a meal around and although the sofas were 2xthree seaters having an extra chair in the lounge are would have been nice. We had trouble adjusting the heating so at times it was too warm, especially in the night. Paying extra for garage parking. It was noisy as it is I'm the town centre, but the small price you pay for the location and convenience. Nothing really, reported a broken door handle but no one came to repair it, no big deal. Bit worried about security. Every night somebody different would ring the buzzer to our flat trying to be let into the building. One evening someone even walked into our flat and then left when they heard us get up. Also, The pillows were too hard. Directions to the Apartment were hard to follow. The collection of keys was a difficult. The garage remote fob didn't open the garage. Limited keys/access so with a group of friends we had to organise coming and going together. Not quite enough hot water for 4 showers. Bath tap squirted everywhere. Heating system was noisy at times. Apartment was quite difficult to find as the outside signage is not clear. No reception, and self check-in instructions were complicated. Missed direct contact with staff. Some of the facilities are getting a bit tired and it looks like some maintainance is required . Nothing. apt next door slamming doors but thankfully not after 11 pm. A fan per bedroom (unusually hot summer), some door stops and perhaps a removable map of Bristol. I think the parking info could be sent through before check-in too. Noise from outside during the night. Nothing. no hot water on first night had 2 use another apartment 2shower no where to hang clothes in bathroom or coats in hall. Lack of privacy in the living room. Instead of blinds in the living room there were curtains without nets. To avoid being stared at by workers in the opposite office block you had to keep the curtains drawn and have the lights on. This was not very nice. The drains for both showers were partially blocked and cause the bathrooms to flood everytime anyone takes a shower. Worse was that lots of black gunk would flow out of the drain holes into the water you are standing in, VERY UNPLESANT.
