I had booked a familiy room online as no twin/double showing available. I did not enter child details. I received a call from Maureen from Premier Inn advising they had reserved a quiet family room on a high floor and away from car park/motorway but that if it did not meet my requirements when I arrived they would change it. The room (58) was excellent, quiet and away from any road noise and facing woodland. Room was spotless and furniture in excellent condition. Also a bath and shower which yo.
all reviews » Nice colourscheme. Enjoyed the friendly staff, helpful. Location was handy to our visit to Bridgend to visit friends, and pop down the motorway to a function in Newport. Our once neighbour grew up on the farm that the Inn is built on- that was just a nice touch for us as we heard about life on the farm before the motorway and the Inn. The table table restaurant was really nice and welcoming and the staff were very attentive. The staff at the premier in were lovely and helpful and the rooms were clean and warm. Breakfast was well cooked and again the staff were lovely. Would definitely stay here again. Amazing friendliness from the staff, & a fantastic "As much as you like" breakfast well organised by "Sian" A definite must stay again when I regularly visit my daughter in Bridgend + I anticipate bringing my family on a visit to the restaurant for an evening meal. The staff were very thoughtful and enthusiastic about delivering a very good service. Very reasonably-priced and good quality restaurant. Room was very comfortable and well-equipped. I liked everything about it when we arrived we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who couldnt help any more will stay again no problem. The young man on reception called Ashley was very helpful as was a blonde cleaning housekeeper! Both went out of their way to help. Staff most helpfull very polite and couldnt do enough to assist you.Room very clean and beds comfy in all no complaints at all. Staff in reception and the resteraunt were exceptional. Food was good, eecially the breakfast choice - fresh fruit salad. Exceptionally friendly service. Very clean and quiet overnight. Pub onsite for evening entertainment. There were no reall but being extremely picky surprised that no diagram on back of room door showing nearest fire escape, just details of fire alarm procedure. You could here the people above us walking /thumping around but especially not nice at 2am.Cooked breakfast was not served hot, neither was the coffee on first morning.It was annoying to come home at 11.30 pm to find all the car spaces close to the Inn taken by people in the restaurant and having to park way over the other side, which did concern us from the security point of view. Room 31 being on the ground floor meant a very noisy period between 1.30am until 3.30am from a family with an adjoining door facility which was continually slammed shut along with shouting from both young & old! Also I was unable to park my car within the range of the security cameras due to the car park being full, it being a Bank Holiday weekend.... Nothing really. Small point only liquid soap for washing could do with the normal soap tablets. TV rather small compared to last Premier Inn I used (Yes, a rather petty comment!). there was nothing I didn'tlike. Nothing. Bit dingy and dark compared to other premier inns, and once again in Premier inns - only one hand towel. Breakfast is over-priced. Only 30 minutes free WIFI. Nothing. There is only one chair in a room for three people. sign for hotel was hard to see from road so you could easily missed. Bedroom and restaurant very dark and ylou could not read the menu.!!!. Nothing. Some noise from M4. Traffic noise. - We were left with a disabled room as the hotel was booked out. Although I booked this 6 months ago. We had booked the wrong Premier. Wanted J36 Sarn. Asked reception at J35 if we could transfer our booking and were told it was not possible. Decided to suffer the loss of £48 and go to Sarn anyway. Reception at Sarn could not have been more helpful. Within 5 minutes we were booked in and our other booking cancelled with no charge except an extra £10. Well done Sarn!.
