I visited with my husband who has suffered a stroke and can not speak, The staff made us feel very welcome and met our needs. also the breakfasts were excellent especially the sausages, and there was plenty of coffee and toast to go with it.
Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good communication prior to arrival. Clean and tidy. Lovely place to stay and nice to have a vegetarian option for breakfast!

The location
Breakfast was very good
Bathroom very clean.
The beds were comfy.
Its location.
Friendly staff.
nothing.
there is nothing I didn't like, but if I came to stay again I would try room 2 due to it being on the ground floor,.
nothing.
Shower needed a bit of attention, only needs tightening up.
Nothing at all.
Location (didn't realise the Old Court House was on a steep hill).....not having been before the fact the Old Court House was on a hill made things difficult for my friend who is ill and needs the use of a wheelchair on occasions. Description states 'pubs etc within comfortable walking distance'.
Small space for car park, bed only small double.
bedding not ironed. shower and toilet room very small. stains round edge of carpet.
Nothing.
small shower.
shower was poor; There was also a noise from the fan in bathroom which continued all night long; breakfast time-only half hour-9-9.30am was rigid and too late for us getting to venue for our guided walk up to Helvellyn;car park too small and difficult to get out of once parked.bedroom-a twin for us-was too small, dark and cramped. The room was also cold and we had to ask the woman who greeted us ( the owner wasn't on premises) to put heating on.
Pillows in the bed very hard and uncomfy and some paint like blobs on the bedding were hard and scratchy.
the shower was very small but luckily didn't have to spend too much time in it.
A bit outdated. Room size quite small.
Thought that at £80.00 per night per night was weel over -priced. Would
think that £40.00 is nearer the mark.
