Chine Hotel situated with view over the sea, lovely mature gardens andlarge, comfortable rooms. Had an old fashioned grandeur and verycomfortably appointed. Public areas (ie breakfast/restuarant area)spacious, food quality good. Rooms were of a good size, clean andhomely. Good shower! Staff friendly and helpful. 5 minutes walk fromthe beach. The rooms where large and very comfortable. The bathrooms had been newly refurbished to a very high standard. That facilities where great, swimming pool, gym, hot tub. Only paid £45 per room. Gardens were lovely with a small path 100m from the beach.
all reviews » I like the traditional feel of the hotel, it makes a welcome change from the corporate look. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was lovely(overlooking the garden) Would definitely say there again. The staff were polite and helpfull, the hotel was in a great location. The ironing board had a mind of its own, kept falling down which was a bit dangerous!. Limited off road parking. High bar prices!. lack of parking. Seemed a little understaffed on the reception desk but the staff were polite and helpful nevertheless. There didnt seem to be much parking available and i ended up having to park in a street around 100m away, not a massive problem though, and i personaly found the room a little warm at night and had trouble sleeping but thats quite normal for me anyway, my girlfriend had no problems sleeping at all. Original room was un-refurbished and old fashioned and shabby. We requested a move and were put in an excellent modern family room within 10 minutes. Refurbishment works were being done at the time which inevitably causes some inconvenience but the staff coped well. Room too warm. Choice of food for breakfast. Cooked breakfast was always cold. Very noisy dining room at breakfast. Unruly children at breakfast every day were not disciplined. Cramped changing facilities for swimming. Very restricted parking. Room could have been a bit more modern looking but did the job and would definitly go back. Limited parking spaces. Limited parking. Difficult to find a parking space close by.The bed was too small and a little uncomfortable. The room was too hot. Bathroom a bit tatty.Quality of breakfast not as anticipated.

The Seaview Restaurant is in one of the most charming rooms of the hotel, with stunning views out over the treetops to Poole Bay and towards the Isle of Wight. The menu has achieved an AA Red Rosette for food, and one meal in this delightful restaurant will illustrate to you why.

Of Victorian origin, the hotel is steeped in local theatrical history; many great names in show business have stayed at the Chine, while walking the boards one of Bournemouth's many theatres. The hotel has a charming wall of fame which illustrates some of those stars of days gone by.

The Chine is experienced in hosting all types of training days and conferences. The 11 meeting rooms have a capacity of 20-150 delegates. All are equipped with everything that a conference or meeting organiser could wish for. Additional equipment, if required, can be hired.
