It was very easy to book in at reception. The hotel staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble and they took time to get to know us. My friend is a coeliac and she was amazed that the menu catered for her. Every morning she was able to have toast and after the first day, the staff got to know this and it was already prepared for her. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. This hotel was great. The staff were friendly and very helpful when we asked about the local area. The hotel itself was comfortable and the added bonus off free use of the pool, sauna and leisure facilities mean we will definitely return.

Unfortunately it poured down both days, but the fact that the hotel had a swimming pool meant that my daughter was happy. Also the breakfast was very good - quality and quantity. The service of the hotel staff were excellent.Fore the overnight stay I cannot commit to much, but to say the hotel was very comfortable, clean and friendly. It was ok but please make it clearer when describing the hotel that thelodge is outside the hotel proper.The restaurant staff and bar staff were excellent the food was very goodthe lounge was very comfortable. The staff were excellent especially in the dinning room...also gluten free which was fantastic. Nothing in particular but it was a very good all round visit and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The swimming pool, steamroom, jacuzzi,breakfast and Parking.Also a short walk to seafront. family room had two seperate bedrooms and breakfast very good plus it was near beach. We wanted to order a burger meal and pizza but was told it was only sandwiches, so we went out and got something to eat instead.pillows were a little too flat for my likeing. pity the lodge is not connected directly to the main building..The lodge could do with direct access to the hotel. there was a strong smell of tobacco smoke in the room, I think from somebody smoking in a nearby room.Well ... the bed could have maybe had a better mattress .. it was a little lumpy! However, the room was very good, with an excellent bathroom, and coffee and tea making facilities included. I did have a single room and I am not obese but the bathroom was perhaps the smallest I have ever seen, e.g after taking a shower I did have to open the bathroom sliding door to dry myself.i think that the resturant could have more variety. Rooms need a bit of updating but are ok for the cost of staying there. didnt like the lodge. the radiator in the room would have been nice had it worked properly. Unfortunately being on the third floor with no air conditioning meant that our room was absolutely boiling. It was a very hot weekend when we stayed and the room was quite unbearable at times - we had a fan but it was not very effective. It didn't bother us, but the lift only went as far as the second floor and we were on the third (top) floor. If you had any kind of walking difficulties there would be far too many stairs to climb.When we arrive they didn't have details of our booking so they had to re book it. The room we were allocated was in the top floor in the roof of the hotel and as it was an extremely hot day the room was really hot. We asked for another fan but still with 2 fans it was so unbearable so we asked to change rooms we they kindly did. I really was not keen staying in the LODGE,we would have preferredstaying in the hotel (we tried to change our room but withoutsuccess,good job it wasn't raining). I really should have taken morenotice of the guest reviews before I booked.The toilet bowl was not as clean as it could of been. just the room needs updating. Having booked 2 rooms it would have been good to be together. indoor swimming pool could do with update. Room was on top floor of Lodge.Very hot.Lots of stairs to climb.Lift only went to second floor. very poor hot water flow into bathrooms, so took ages to fill bath (about an hour!). I would have rather stayed at the main hotel, rather than the lodge, but the lodge was quite comfortable. There was nothing I didn't like, however the rooms were a bit small and the tele very dated. sounds silly didn't like the sausages, and the room was a bit small as was the bathroom, but as a base it was a great location.
