I enjoyed my stay & so did my other 4 friends, We will be booking again the same time next year, if the price is right, & in the same building. Hopefully there will be a few more of us, but we will like to stay in the same building, (the middle building). see you all again next year. the staff were very friendly and helpful, we payed for two basic single which were in the houses next to the hotle which were clean and comfortable.the food was outsanding and cheap.

Stayed for 2 nights staff wher great. We stayed in room no3 which was a good size & the ensuite as well, lovely & warm. Good breakfast, good parking. For previous reviewers complaining about the décor, they are forgetting what good value the place is, taking into account the facilities and location. Everything! Bedroom, Location, Staff, Breakfast. Just what I'd expect at an English Bed & Breakfast. Fantastic. Staff, location, décor and easy-going ambience of the place. Nice bar area. Good Wifi signal. Breakfast and rooms and staff all excilent and exceeds expectations for what you pay. The two ladies are so friendly and the breakfast are so delicious. We were greater very pleasantly and made to feel very welcome. Cheap and Clean pretty good location. And breakfast spot on. Location and the use of the Spa at a discount is great. Great value for money.. Bar, food cheap price. Fab friendly place. Friendly Staff. If you need a budget bed for the night, you could do a lot worse than the Clover. It is warm, clean and dry, and the bed was comfortable. Good value bar and evening meals and friendly staff. Not an up to the minute luxury pad by any stretch of the imagination, but very acceptable for the price. Excellent value. the staff we saw were very friendly and helpful, made you feel very well come, the hotel was warm and the bedroom was clean, the towels were very good not the usual starch things you get, breakfast was just enough and well cooked,. The food was good and the staff friendly and helpful. I stayed in a budget room which was fine but the shared bath was filthy and needed a good scrub. The room was cheap but included a full hot breakfast. It was clean and serviced every day. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Staff are fantastic in their care for people. The staff were good good location comfortable. staff were friendly and helpful even down to making us a sandwich when they had stopped serving food. Nothing at all!!. could do with a lick of paint in the houses. nothing. I rated good for clean because I booked the rooms for no smoke and the rooms smelled smoke (cigarette). Buy the way, I'll use the clover hotel services again. We are like everything. Staircase very steep for older people. Well not the greatest hotel but cant argue with the price and only short walk to train station. At the front and very noisy at times through the night with traffic and a few late revellers. not at all.. Room smelt of fags. the whole place is tired, it could be so much more, it was the staff that made the hotel, the room we stayed in was clean, but could of done with A good paint job, better curtains, carpet, only one window opened as all the others were paint sealed shut, and thin double glazing had been installed in the old wood windows, the windows were rotting, bathroom ceiling and walls had black mildew on them, all the windows were dirty with black all around the edges, as said could be so much more. The decor was very tired and stale. The bathroom in particular needed work. Stale cigarette smell that is consistently in the room I stayed in. the room was dirty, paper hanging, dust everywhere, the bar decor was old and faded, chairs threadbare, food was awful think it had been reheated and no choice of anything. Everything! The hotel and the rooms are a disgrace. Dirty, it stinks, rude receptionist, nothing at this hotel is worthwhile to talk about. When you hate people; send them down to this place!!!!.
