What people say
Really friendly staff, made me feel at home. Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly, dinner and breakfast were brilliant, freshly cooked by onsite chef and full of flavour.central location and value for money. the staff were very helpful and friendly. Got what you paid for. Breakfast was adequate if one discounted the undrinkable coffee (chicory essence), slow service on day three (the 'chef' both cooked and served) and the fact that the menu offered brown bread when none was available.all reviews »
Free wireless internet. Nothing. the rooms should bechecked before as the dust in the room was awful I had to wipe athicklayer off the tv. T.V. Not working properly, bbc2 channel giving static feedback. Dog in reception (old alsatian) barking all the time, why let it loose in reception? Not informed that breakfast is served from 8.00am on the weekend, and when I arrived at breakfast at 8.10am on the Sunday no one was available for service. You could only have cooked or cerial, not both for breakfast. The hotel is shabby and run down. The cavernous dining room was 'heated' (in January) by a small electric fire. Guests had to be in by 11.00 pm (think Blackpool landlady circa 1955) and no front door keys were available!. No heating, faulty showers, no telephone in room. staff shortage. However, understand that there is remedial work in progress!. Very old and worn carpets, fixtures and fittings. Very small double room. Smell from drain. Are there long term residents at this place? Noise from other quests at all hours on a tuesday night. Did not stay to sample breakfast. nobody seemed to know what they were doing. the dining roo m wasnot open in the morning for breakfast. I have a catalogue of complaints regarding this hotel, the main ones are i paid for a breakfast, which i didn't receive. The rooms are small ( Cell Like and shabby ) i had to move to another room because the shower didn't work.( Why was i the one to report it). I would not recommend this hotel i would sleep in my car first.
