  our stay started with what might be in other case a trouble - the room we wanted to stay was double booked,and as we wanted maximum comfort we were bit disappointed. But we were given a lovely room for one night,smaller but cheaper and free drinks, and next day we were transmitted to the room we wanted, and given nice discount. Both rooms were nic... what people say » e, clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. Food also very nice. - The friendly staff created a relaxed atmosphere straight away at check in. The room was clean, sunny with a great view of the garden and New Forest beyond. All staff had a great rapport with each other and the guests. The Hotet was preparing for a Wedding the following day and it was great fun to watch the preparations.

  We were surprised how welcoming you both were and helpful Yes we did go and see the old tree and had a great drive threw the forest. I found my old school in Ringwood as we.   Everything. We wanted to stay an extra night but they were unfortunately booked up. John and Stephanie were very welcoming, room was lovely and clean and breakfast was excellent. The location is great as the New Forest is across the road but there are Restaurants and pubs within walking distance of the b & B. The bed in our room was one of the best we've ever slept in with beautiful, luxurious bedding. Our hosts John and Stephanie were delightful. I came away with 4 jars of Stephanies wonderful homemade jams that she sells to her jam admiring guests.

Ernesto makes an amazing breakfast (my partner ate the vegetarian option and it was great too as well as the normal full English). Rufus House is great as it is located in the heart of the New Forest and within walking distance of Lyndhurst. It is also ideal to go for - Very accommodating, useful recommendations provided by email in advance of our stay. I had a wonderful one to one yoga/mindful meditation session with Etzuko and even participated in feeding the koy carp. Our room was lovely, overlooking the back garden and benefitted from a mini-fridge. Loved the guest lounge at the top of the turret - I felt like I had my very own "Princess Castle" - it was a very pleasant place to celebrate my 50th birthday.

  The hotel staff were always helpful and friendly, they made our stay very pleasant. The room was clean and spacious. Our room also had a very nice bathroom. The breakfast service was also very good. The hotel proved to be in a very good location, with pleasant walks, while close to the amenieties in the centre of lyndhurst. - excellant location, po... what people say » lite and helpfull staff.   The couple who run Lyndhurst House a very nice homely B&B, Peter and Nancy were attentive friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. Breakfast was good with no problem getting what we enjoy eating, There are a few eateries and a small supermarket close by.   From the moment we stepped into the hotel to the time we left the staff were amazing: friendly, welcoming, efficient and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. A lovely large room with a pair of comfy chairs. A large TV, tea, coffee, biscuits; shower with fresh towels as required, and good toiletries... what people say » . There was some noise from the street, as on the second floor was not that bad. As listed premises they are not permitted to change the windows and - The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size. I had an evening meal in the pub which was good value. The poub has a lot to offer but I was the only guest on that particular night. Also only another couple in the bar. The pub decor is good and inviting. The manager was saying that weekends get busy but mid week is slow. Also extremely busy in the summer season. I would certainly stay again

  It was a nice surprise to find that it was actually an historic building - assumed a concrete block as I didn't see the pictures beforehand - I liked the warm friendly atmosphere. The option of room service. The paper service in the morning. Just everything about the hotel!!!!

  Jenny and Keith were amazing and are welcoming you in to their very own home to share with them. It's extremely well looked after with a motherly rather than minimal feel - extremely homely. Jen's breakfast is AMAZING -so much so when we return to the forest to camp we will be visiting again just for the grub. What a lovely warm experience - we'll... what people say » be back with our muddy boots looking forward to Keith scaring the life out of us at breakfast again with his vouvouzela (if that's how it's spelt?) - - Very friendly owners, fantastic breakfast and great all round service. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and tidy and a selection of toys under the bunk beds were quickly found by our 2 girls (6 and 3) Will keep in mind next time we are in the area! We left behind a small cuddly toy and Jenny was good enough to post it on to our house.
