Hi the only bad thing about the stay was when we were booking it on letsbookhotel.com it said we could either pay 170 pounds or we could pay 200euro on arrivel as we went to check in we were told we couldnt pay in euros we had to walk about a half hour to change currency we had reservation for jamie olivers restaurant and we were goin to mama mia at 7 45 last friday by the time we got inti lecister square it 6 45 so my girlfriends birthday present was wreaked as she was looking forward to going.
all reviews » Breakfast time was the best experience , all staff was extremely friendly and welcoming especially porsha the lady in the breakfast area and Francesco the gentlemen in the bar area ! These people are a credit to your company , so helpful so friendly . a little spot by the young girl that was in Monday morning (22nd) in the breakfast area , while Porsha was her usual friendly self the younger lady wasnt :( Didnt spoil anything though it was still lovely and we will be back for certain. This is a very conveniently located hotel.a short drive from the M1 .Edgware station is a short walk away (although bear in mind the walk is uphill - downhill after your night out though which is a bonus). The rooms are ideal, breakfast was great and there were plenty of items available , although we did have to wait for the vegetarian sausages,which is pretty understandable, they arrived well cooked,hot and plentiful.Secure parking is available and it is free. Staff were second to none - really made our stay fabulous. All of them not one grumpy or unhelpful one. Congrats. In upgraded room, bath tub had rusted plug hole, evening meal quality very poor, long wait & second mushroom risotto was still poor and half duck overcooked. our family room faced a busy road. Having to leave. We returned at 11.10pm on Saturday after a busy day and wanted to get a drink to take to room but were not allowed. A pity, as we thought as residents one drink would have been no problem. Child's bed rather small for a tall 15 year old. The only problem we had was a missing light bulb in the lamp. Slight mix up at check in meant children's beds weren't made up on arrival but this was soon speedily rectified whilst we were at dinner. Very efficient and apologetic staff. Slightly too hot in bedroom but had a fan provided so everything good:). No soap in the bathroom, A nice complimentary shower gel would be nice. Bedroom was too hot so had to open window as the thermostat wasn't easily adjustable. There was nothing to dislike. I think you should invent a membership card which accrues points in order to bring down prices or a bit of incentive for continued business ,,ie free breakfasts ... been in the premiers in darrington and edgeware over the last two weekends, this week I go to Blackpool an incentive this weekend would have swung a booking. Some of the rooms smell of cigarettes. nothing. Not use to single beds. Smaller than what I am use to in hotels. Decor in reception and passages dated and jaded. Rooms were very hot and stuffy. Needs air conditioning. bedroom was tired looking (the wood needed to be refinished. 2nd rate hairdryer. Nothing. One staff member (Asaad) was extremely rude and made impolite comments. Unfortunately that affectyed on the whole great staff at the hotel. Needs air con!. the rooms were very hot and there is no air con difficult to sleep. our bed wasnt very comfortable for our needs.
