This place is very homey, family run. Mum and dad are so nice and welcoming. The Turkish breakfast is great with something extra every morning like rolled and deep fried gozleme stuffed with spinach and feta. They made us scrambled eggs for the kids when they tired of the boiled ones. We stayed in a tripple even though there were 4 of us. The 6 year old slept in a playpen with a good mattress in the bottom. The room was bright and airy but quite small. The bathroom had a fan! And was pretty cle.
all reviews » This place has only been open as a hotel for a few weeks. It is a family home and the family runs the hotel. It is managed by the son, Ahmet, but the whole family plus friends work hard in running the place. The mother cooks and does laundry. They also offer home-cooked evening meals. Some of the best food we ate in the area. We wanted to stay in a cave hotel and really enjoyed the Goreme Valley Cave Hotel. It was in a quiet quarter of the town. Lovely rooftop terrace for breakfast and dinner. We enjoy staying at Goreme Valley house very much. We got cave room with triple bed. The room is spacious, cozy and clean, warm and homy. They use good quality mattress, sheet and blankets. Breakfast is unforgetable, the homemade food made by Mama Tulay is great, I love the homemade jams, honey, yogurt and kind of cheese pastry she made very much. The family is very friendly and helpful, the sons always offer another cup of tea or coffee on your breakfast, they speak English very well and could. Everything was just perfect and more. Ahmet the manager, is so helpful and always assists you an answers questions and give great recommendations. The highlight of the stay was Om Ahmet (Ahmet's mother) a pure hearted great lady who won the gold medal at the food contest 9 times in a row (out of nine times) She is amazing and gives you a peaceful feeling and homely cozy ambiance. The rooms are great and spacious (I stayed in the stone room) the breakfast and Dinner were always great per quality. Everything. All members of the family who run this hotel were very friendly and helpful. They liked kids as well. The home-made breakfast was great and so delicious. Mama and papa were great cooks. I heard the dinner was also good, though we didn't have a chance to dine there at nights. The location was close the center of the village/town and the bus station (otogar), making it easy to move to our next destination. It's so homey we didn't feel like we stay in a hotel. We highly recommend this . This family run cave hotel was the best pick for a place to stay in Cappadocia. Not only was the entire family kind and helpful, but the meals were delicious, and the rooms were exotically decorated, clean, and very comfortable. We truly felt like we were part of the family. We HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone planning to travel to Cappadocia. What a great family run hotel in a great location! The family members are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They are very knowledgeable of the area and what to do. If you don't want to do a tour, they can tell you how to do it independent ly. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was great. We had a wonderful five days there. Everything was perfect! Specially the Mama, she was wonderful with my wife which fell down on the beginning tour.They helped us almost everything. Maybe 5 minutes walking distance. The rooms are clean and well designed, also there is 24 hour hot water. It is perfect, best budget friendly accommodation and i recommend everybody. The room is large and built in a cave, very interesting. It is run by a very nice family, they are all very kind and very helpful during our stay, and prepared welcome fruit for us and gave us a gift when we left. The location is ok, not far from Otogar so it is convenient. the cave house is owned and operated by a local family, who are very friendly and helpful. located in the lower part of Goreme but very convenient. overall quite clean and comfortable room, except for the washroom of our room is a bit small. will recommend. All the necessary turistic informations are provided by the owners who also are very helpful in booking an Airport shuttle or any turistic tour in Capadoccia. This is a new (opened March, 2013) budget hotel, but the innkeepers have had prior hotel experience. They go out of their way to make your visit comfortable. I even had a small batch of laundry washed by hand for TL20. Ahmet is very responsive to e-mails. I had to change my bookings several times before arrival, he was always quick in helping my out. He also made arrangements for our tours and car rental. The staff is really nice!. it was located in the downtown of Goreme, which was easy to get access. Convenient location, free parking, good advice from staff, good breakfast, flexible check in time. There wasn't much of a view from the terrace (still nice though). there was nothing I didn't like about our stay...would definitely recommend and go back. The wiFi inside cave room is not very good, but it is not a big problem, only a bit slow. No one can find anything that is beneath PERFECTION!!!!! I loved every minute there.... Nothing. Nothing!. The breakfast is simple, and the room is not cleaned every day. The room is a little cold, have to turn on the radiator. No air-conditioning was a problem for my husband and son, who are used to cool indoors. I felt it's not too bad with a breeze and the temperature cools down at night anyway. Nothing really, but a swimming pool could be added to make it even better. Floor could be a bit cleaner and shower drain also. We were still more than happy. just one of the person in the table consistently forgot what i ordered at breakfast. Nothing. breakfast ends too early. no water basin in the toilet. We had booked two rooms but in one room there was no washbasin in the bathroom. Before your arrival in the webpage could happen to you that it is not so clear if you are going to stay in a cave or in a standard room. The toilet sometimes smells. i felt like they urged me to sell their tour service, however I already reserved everything. I felt like they were a little bit disappointed. Sheets & towels never changed, room wasn't cleaned between days, room smells really bad, and have moth balls in bathroom to hide the rotten smell. Hotel is sold as cave hotel but it's not a cave at all. Room is not sound proof, constant noise from outside and hallway. Shower on toilet. It's like a backpackers with private rooms, wouldn't recommend.
