Staff were outstanding - polite, professional and above all, nothing seemed too much trouble. The gardens deserve special mention as the time, effort and dedication is apparent and makes for a fantastic location to relax and unwind. Finally, a few key players stood out that deserve praise namely Koi and Marloes. Villa option is pricey and rather basic but ok if you want a small outside pool otherwise opt for a garden room. Club upgrade good value with a good selection of food/nibbles to keep yo.
all reviews » Excellent hotel, especially the historic atmosphere and particularly in the historic side of the hotel. Hotel garden and pool area was very beautiful as well as lobby area and colonial bar. The breakfast was one of the best I have enjoyed anywhere. The location was also perfect to a single traveler. The hotel provides a rustic environment. It's a convenient location which is within reach to both the beach and the town. The hotel also offered fantastic services. The staff were friendly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we won't hesitate to go back to Centara Hua Hin. What makes it so special is it unique property and buildings, it gives the place a fantastic soul and charm. Easy access to the beach.With all the hustle in the city is it perfect to come home to a tranquil place such as the Centara grand. Fablous breakfast!. The hotel was a luxurious retreat amongst all the hustle and bustle of Hua Hin. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever seen and the staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them. We had holidayed there about 12 years ago with our daughter and found that,though the hotel name had changed,the standard was still excellent.A relaxing place at end of time spent in Bangkok and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there. This is our second trip back to Centara after it swapped over from Sofitel. I looked at other hotels but my husband marks this as his favourite so we headed back and were not disappointed. It is a great place to relax and unwind. It was the perfect resort to stay for seven day nights. Breakfast buffet is outstanding, and adding the club extras was well worth it. We will definitely stay here every time we are in Hua Hin. The staff are super friendly!. Basic tailoring such as hem and neck line cuts were uneven, oversized arms (girth) and poor finish. Tailor is ok but they ship everything to local machinist. Tailor was unsurprised we asked for refund. Avoid at all cost. Beach ok but sea is poor and smells of effluent. I think the cleaning was done in a bit of a hurry, perhaps because we asked for a early check-inn. I can't think of anything at all. Nothing...all great. Not enough computers and printer facilities. The villas had one terminal. The main hotel had two and there were many people. The bed was so hard and I mean hard like concrete. I just didn't want to say anything to the lovely staff, as I didn't want them to be worried about it as I know they sure would of. There was a Tiphoon that kinda affected thailand when I was there with heavy rains nothing to do with the Hotel but there was alot of flood waters all over Hua Hin and outside the hotel at street level was flooded but we still manage to get through, I kinda loved the excitement. The Hilton towering next door. No faults. Nothing. Nothing really. No free wifi in the room. Very dim lighting in the rooms. We stayed in 117 and the toilet roll holders are in an impossible position to use and to have a phone so close to it is ludicrous. The internet in the room is unstable, although it's paid service. Not Much. We had junior suites on the second level with large a balcony. however the large overgrown shrubs which reached this level stopped any view over the resort. These just need pruning slightly and it would be perfect. Unfortunately because of the greenery the mosquito's are a real nuisance. Staff at the breakfast buffet need to be allocated specific jobs, we noticed that they just repeated each other which created delays for the clients. The public beach in front of the resort is not clean and spoils the feeling of this wonderfull place. Felt a bit like " 2nd class citizens" as our friends who paid the same price were treated to many "extras" (we later found out it was because it was their second visit). Let's hope we receive special treatment on our return!. Property could have done with a lick of paint and I'd have liked to see some floats in the pools similar to those at Sandals. Nothing really. Tiny niggle re lack of storage space particularly drawers in the bedroom. Beach out the front very shallow and not great for swimming and lots of mosquitos/midgies. quality and services offered doesn't meet the High price payd for ex. internet into the room its not free. The administration for getting WiFi is not good and also too expensive. We had a stroller and had to bring it up a lot of stairs on our own - the staff did not offer to help us despite it being the main stairs in reception :( It would be a great benefit to add more ramps to the Hotel to also benefit those in wheelchairs. Nothing. Was probably a great hotel... 20 years ago! Everything is a bit old compare to what they charge and what you can find nearby. Swimming pools not very clean (leaves) and looks old fashioned. Room and bathroom are small. Paid 123€. Worth 70€ because of good brekkie. Expected much more for that range of price in Thailand. Could mix old fashion style with modern facilities. Villa privacy, breakfast standard, club facilities.
