Dusit Island Resort has a beautiful location on an island in the middle of the river. It is not far from the centre of the town. You can get there by tuk-tuk or taxa in 5-10 minutes. Transport time from the airport to the hotel is 20-25 minutes by car. We had a room on the 7th floor. It was large with good facilities: a safe, a minibar, a flat screen television. The hotel has a Chinese restaurant (which we did not visit) and a western restaurant (the Peak) which we visited once: great food, gre.
all reviews » The staff was extremely friendly - the restaurants very - very good, we loved the Chinese restaurant in particular, the location and it´s view excellent. Location is in a peaceful area with beautiful scenery of mountain and river. Staffs are super nice and friendly. The price is reasonable. Location, quiet on a little island, yet close to city center. We have only a few negative points: (1) In the room: there should be a real side pillow for the bed. (2) In the room: the selection of television channels is varied, but there is only one movie channel with English language available (fox premium). (3) In the bathroom: there should be a towel rack where you can hang up your wet towels. The noise of the outside airconditioners. We missed the gym which was not operational and may have for this reason booked an other hotel if we would have known. The hotel has far too many steps and stairs to climb. Unbelievable that you can not go to the main restaurant and to the Chines restaurant by lift. Thinking about the handicaped and eledery how do they get around?????????. None. The fitness room was under repair. Little bit hard to find would be great if they put up signs off the main rd showing the direction. Prices for sight seeing tours via hotel relation. Fitness equipment old fashioned - needed replacement. Hotel Shuttle to city center is double price from normal taxi. A bit strange. non breakfast include. Fitness under construction. Nothing. Everything was OK. It took a long time to order taxis. Nothing. pretty far from city if you don't have a car. The decoration of the room is of a 3* hotel. The bathroom is the worse, it should have to be renovated, and the furniture as well. Brakefirst really expensive Bathroom old a Bit out of town.
