Beautiful resort, centrally located opposite the ?moat. Check in not before 2pm, but we were given towels and invited to use the pool while waiting. Very cold water but nice to cool off. Cocktail service poolside. Small balcony at the rear of the room for drying laundry, and full-length balcony with seating overlooking pool. Rooms were comfortable with fairly large bathrooms. The bedroom was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Staff were helpful and nice. The location was great; we even strolled all the way to the night bazar. Plenty of anti- mosquito spaying each evening! Fantastic little massage parlor by the pool, great prices, excellent massage and lovely staff!.
all reviews » Clean modren well designed rooms, especially in the modern block (latest addition to hotel). Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food (breakfast) was good. Location was absolutely sensational - right in the middle of Chang Mai - where all the action was!!!. staff are very friendly, and warm-hearted.I've read some reviews saying that the room was not very clean.but in fact,our room is pretty clean.the room is also spacious, i guess the standard room is more than 30 square meteres, i could even do some excercise in it. Excellent location, my room was a bit vintage, but large and nice looking. Had issues with noise in room 300 (to avoid!!!), but then I got a better room (with little negotiation). Close to nice part of the city, swimming pool, breakfast all good. Very helpful staff. Clean room and made up daily. Warm forceful showers. Spacious room and bright when curtains are drawn. Good view of the swimming pool although pool under renovation. Wonderful breakfast so worth the price we pay for it. Easy walk to old city, staff very helpful for tours, motorbike hire etc, we stayed in the middle building of the three and found it quiet but we heard an older couple complain that the front building heard the nightclub next door. The location is in the centre of the city. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The receptionist was good and they provide us a free transport to airport. No coffee/tea making facilities in room. When I asked for a kettle, no reception staff understood English. I was offered a 'pot' for 1000THB. Wi-fi was by login available at reception, but one person cannot use another's login, so we needed one each! Breakfast provided, fried eggs straight from the fridge, no idea how long ago they were cooked! Other breakfast food was acceptable. Bathrooms need updating; a bit mouldy. We found a little German cafe to the right of the hotel that did great pancakes so abandoned our hotel breakfasts. Wifi was intermittent. Our 2nd family room in the older block was a little more tired, but was still great value for money. nothing. we will definately go to this hotel again!!. just issues with noise in the room, then fixed. A little difficult to communicate with reception staff but no big deal. Just need to take some time to express in simpler terms. What was sent as message through booking. Com wasn't relayed to the reception like time of airport pick-up and to add breakfast to room reservation.( Everything was settled on arrival.). Ceiling fan missing, hole in bathroom wall, we had to chock the shower in place so it didn't aim at the opposite wall, but Hey it's Thailand if you want to pay 5 star there is plenty of choices, also make sure your rego is not 5 months out of date as we found out from the police, although we didn't go through the hotel for this, when we did there was no problem. I hope there will be a kettle to make hot drink because I saw in the photo they provide it in the room. Standard rooms are old and need renovation especially bathroom. Shower was not hot, luke warm at best. Some mould in bathroom ingrained in grout and ceiling tiles. We were here 6 months ago and the breakfast selection was better, the salads are now bland and no congee soup, cereal or yogurt, missed out as new dishes not happening, to make it more interesting, same, same. noise! when someone talking in your floor, its right in your room. the fans was dirty, there was a rat near the pool which was hanging around. what i didn't like is the noise outside my room, i can't sleep. And also mosquitoes, although i already expect this, but if you're travelling for leisure you want to have the best out of it.on the other hand the service is good and thumbs up for it. No fence around swimming pool. Breakfast Choice could be better.... Pool is sooo cold. Wi-fi useless. try the cafe down the street. Pool a bit green-ish. The salt in the pool caused me to have lesions form on my skin and burn my skin. The cleaning ladies never would leave any soap and shampoo in the bathroom so I was constantly having to go ask for more. Breakfast included with stay was horrible. the staff at the reception hardly understand/speak English. Having to go home. The breakfast was a shame, not worth the money. For all, I never had in my live such bad fried eggs. The sofa in the room needed a refit. And it was quite noisy from the neighbouring Thai-boxing club. The old building needs an upgrade. Little or no hot/warm water. Blanket too small for the bed. none. Rather poor stuff, while checkin they made some mistakes and was general messup. Not clean enought but rooms are rather big. So sad for the hotel not same as website info show have ""Flat-screen TV"", Is just provide a small & very old type of cable TV in room, Breakfast is very simple not buffet. Important : Inform hotel can't do for simple change it room rate on date check-in or after room rate confirmed !. The pool was heavily chlorinated and the reception staff was not as helpful as they could've been upon my arrival. Once settled, things went a bit smoother. The room I was in has some simple traditional furniture and old and thin carpet. It definitely needs to be refurbished to make it more cheerful. Lighting can be improved. Breakfast was a big dusappointment: too simple, lack of choice, with hams and sausages soaked in hot water and thus a bit tasteless. The building section I stayed in was not well kept and clean. Bathroom was old and not very clean. There were holes in bed sheets. Staff is terrible. I sent them a mail which I only got an "Ok" as an answer. Then, it was no-ok. We booked one night, but then we changed our minds and we decided to book 2 more nights. We wanted us to pay much more money than agreed. At first, we agreed but in our honeymoon they pretended us to stay in a room (more expensive) with 2 single beds. Staff was useless and rude. We decided to leave after only one night there. Bathroom needed modernising. Corridors on landings could have been cleaner and certain other area. The staff are not so politely. No water-cooker at rooms. Swimming pool is under maintainance. Some of the rooms are decorating. 千万别和会些中文的中年男子洽谈旅游节目！. The old section of this Hotel is just not good. Only stay in the New section. Friendliness reception staff and shower didnt function correctly. Cleanliness of the room. poor facilities. Front office staff were a bit disinterested in work generally. communication skills, about your needs. not clean enough. They don't change the sheets every day. The cleanness is less than average. Pool was on constraction without any information. Info said in lobby, it will be ready in 1 week, but nothing happened there for 3 days, so maybe in this year it will be ready. There was a total lack of hygiene. The bathroom was dirty and the towels were disgusting, every time. They were covered with stains and smelly. Breakfast was also poor. Hotel is next to a boxing arena which makes a lot of noise. Reception staff not friendly & could not understand basic English. Breakfast was all cold. Had hamburger not cooked. Pool dirty. Animal droppings in room. Torn sheets. Dirty pillowcases. Towels grey & smelled funny. Bed was hard. Not anything like the pictures shown in advertising. Very expensive for small room.
