This hotel is the marriage of fair price and the best service I've ever seen! Though the facilities are not the newest and the most fashionable, it doesn't mean you won't have a comfortable living quality! I stayed here for three nights, and felt comfy and homey, and that's all travelers and backpackers want in foreign countries, don't they? Besides, the location is marvelous! We loved our stay at Riverside House, the staff were really sweet, the pool lovely and clean, the location is excellent to the night market and within walking distance of the old city. Breakfast was basic but fine, rooms cleaned daily, lots of space to relax in and really laid back. The green garden with the small swimming pool. Location near to the riverside, good restaurants, the old city, the market is perfect. Breakfast with fresh fruit is nice in the restaurant next to the garden. Good location, right by the iron bridge. Massive room (deluxe room in the old building 216) 900thb. Staff helpful and allowed us to check in very early for no extra fee. Secure parking and night guard. Nice hotel with very helpful staff. It has good localization near the Night Bazar. There is also tourist office where you can book different excrusions. We had realy pleasant stay over there. The pool was really good after a hot day!! We really liked stay close to the river and it is a 5 min walking from the night market!!. The staff was really helpful and nice with us. I would stay there again but in a more expensive room as my friend stayed in one and it was much nicer. Staff were very friendly and the pool was lovely. Lots of advice from the staff for visiting places. The mosquitoes in the room and bathroom. Supposed to include breakfast but this just consists of bread and butter. You have to pay extra if you want eggs etc. Small swimming pool is ridiculously cold. Uncomfortable to stay in for very long. We asked for a couple bed, instead we get two single beds together. Staff was not friendly at all Bit noisy in the early mornings, as staff arrived for work. Mattresses! Hard hard hard. Overly chlorinated pool. The bed was a little hard & the shower didn't work very well. Do not have tv set. Nothing. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Location is great, good value. Back rooms are quiet, and you can hear the birds singing at sunrise. Really good massage next door, and a great supermarket 2 mins.away. building construction next door - check to see if it's completed (or if they are offering good discounts to compensate), as it is a great place other than this. We checked out a day early due to noise, but would have very happily stayed otherwise. smell of spray in the room. For the price, nothing.All I would say is that you do get what you pay for with the cheapest rooms. Whilst very clean they are a bit gloomy with not much daylight. the beds are a little hard for my liking too but I'm being picky with that!. Hard beds and no soap dishes in the shower leading to a waste of soap. Only half a roll of toilet paper.
