The location is good - just across the bridge from the BTS station (Saphon Taksin) and the boat ferry stop (Central Pier or Sathorn). Good range of breakfast food. Whilst you can find better food outside in the evening, the food in the restaurant is not bad. The rooms are more than adequate - enormous double bed and good shower. Staff are helpful and courteous. Rooms were a fairly good size. There was a queen sized bed and enough room to accommodate another queen sized bed. It's really near the pier to take the river taxi across. Plenty of eateries just outside the hotel. 7 eleven 5mins walk from the hotel. Most of the reception staff were very helpful except for one particular male staff (see below).
all reviews » Stuff is very friendly. The whole area is really maintained. Not so touristic outside the hotel than on the other side of the river. We talked to the manager and asked for an IBIS boat. He told us that they are working on it and already in discussion to get it. But it takes a time. The hotel and staff were quite good. The location is excellent for river cruises and travel by boat. The Grand Palace, various temples and Khoasans road are all close by. BTS is a 7 baht ferry ride across the river and about 20 minute from the center of the city. (Siam). Excellent hotel with excellent service, food, location. whenever I will plan trip to pattaya my stay will be at royal cliff. We booked a sea view suite and the suite was super, view was just brilliant. Thank royal cliff, u made our stay worth it. Great location, friendly, helpful staff. Away from hectic Bangkok, yet very close to skytrain & river transport for acces to anywhere in Bangkok. Very reasonable price for this location and all the facilities. The hotel is nice. Staff also. The river is nice at nightime with the boats having many lights. You can see thai people fishing while eating your dinner. The pool is big and it is fun to relax there. Food is good. The hotel represents good value for money. It is easy to get around the city using the local sky train terminal. Rooms are cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis. Good views of the river. The staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist us. The pool was great and everywhere was always spotlessly clean. It's surprisingly quite spacious and comfy. I like the personal touch by putting 2 stuffed animals in the room. My children loved them. The room is clean and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. There's a free wi fi connection in the room. The swimming pool is located near the river, so you can see the ships passing. Very nice. It's ok, need shuttle boat as close to city and river but no ferry transport and it is just 3 minutes to cross the river but need car to go across takes 20 minutes. On my first day, the male reception staff was curt and unfriendly. Insisted that river taxis was not accessible and that I must take the hotel tuktuk to the nearest BTS station - which is not true of course. nothing....keep the good service IBIS :). No gym. Found an awesome little gym in soi 14 for 80 baht a session or 900 a month. Nothing. The tv is quite small. Bathroom also small. That's the only thing negative I can say. Good hotel!. Taxes were added on my bill at the end that should have already been included in the price. Room service would be an added advantage. For some the location may not be great, it's about a 10 minute walk to the sky train station and there aren't many restaurants or shops nearby but it's only 10 minutes on the BTS into the heart of Bangkok. The size of the room was small and cleaning of the room was late. nothing. Nothing. I got the room next to staff room or store room. It was very noisy in the morning. They should train their staff to be more professional and not shouting around. Breakfast, though varied, was a bit pricey. It would have been nice to be able to pay less for just a small portion. At breakfast there was the Thai sweet jam, the ham instead of any bacon and the usual sausage and no english breakfast ones. The Ibis website and letsbookhotel.com were the same price but Asia rooms was consiferably cheaper. Why?. recommend a taxi to the floating market with the charge of1500 THB. But the driver take us to a wrong and very near place. its a pet far away from the city and BTS need 10 main walk but there is free tuk tuk to the station. small bath room. There is no room service,during check out you need to take care of the luggage by your own. And have no pier and the central pier just a cross the river. I don't think the staff gave the tourists the best information. For example my party wanted to go to the Vertigo Bar and we booked a taxi through the ibis hotel which cost 600 Baht. On our return journey we caught a cab from the street at the hotel and paid 70 Baht for the journey back to ibis. Not provide toothbrush, toothpaste. Nothing - fairly 'neutral' hotel. no food during day, buffet too expensive. primitive bar service. nothing cozy about this place. place gets boring after 2 days, far from any " civilization ". Breakfast no discount for hotel guests No sun at pool beyond 15.00. 400 something Breakfast is too expensive. Taxi sevice is bad, no meter. Hair dryer only would stay on for a minute. Very far from the attractions shuttle service not good as i think they should manage their shuttle service to other major destinations like mbk mall etc. The location is good because it's on a riverside but the way to get there is kinda tough. Room size. no balcony. The Taxi around service is bad. Never use meter. Little bit far away from skytrain. No complaints. room service need improvement.Even for senior citizen like us nobody helped us to carry the luggage. Room located close to service elevators. - Location : the distance to BTS station is around 15 minutes walk. Shuttle service is provided to go there, however to go back to hotel, we need to take taxi - Bathroom is a bit small - Taxi drivers in hotel alley is sometimes a bit annoying. They keep offering us tour to Floating market whenever we passed.
