all reviews » I like all the friendly staff. Although this is not a 5-Star rated hotel but I would say all the staff had been way qualified being working in the 5-Star hotel. From the front desk to the security personnel, I would say no place I have seen in Bangkok having this well-trained group of people. Location wise is just about 300m walking distance to the nearest Asoke BTS Skytrain and 400m to Terminal 21 shopping mall. I liked hotel is major avenue sukhumvit and next to bts station asok. Mrt sukhumvit.close to everywhere even airport 45 minute.by mrt and airport express line.rooms are very clean and new furniture.lights are ok.ac working silent.manager pitchanun very helpful and friendly.room size is ok.i did not bother any traffic noisy from outside.tv channels are ok. Friendly people working there. Excellent location close to Asok BTS station and the underground MRT. Good place to choose if you have to move around in Bangkok or go to Souvarnabouhmi Airport. And thanks to its location on a small side lane it is a quiet place though it is at the intersection of heavy trafficed Sukhumvit and Asoka. The hotel is very well located and easily accessible by public transportation. The staff are courteous. the breakfast is limited but ample. The hotel offers free half day sightseeing which is very good.There was a concern about the hotel too difficult to locate, but there are clear signs on the main road leading to the hotel. Excellent location - Taxi around 260 BHT from the international airport, but easy to get there by train - close to Sukhumvit MRT and Asok BTS. 5 minutes to Soi Cowboy, 10 minutes to Nana. Very clean and quiet. Opposite Exchange Tower and Citybank ATM which doesn't charge foreign card fees. Tasty breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay at the city point hotel. With the room rate of THB2,300/night, I would say there should be already a swimming pool as facilities and with breakfast included. One thing I find weird .they block the money from credit card.numbers given by booking com to them.But again in the hotel they requested card to charge the hotel fee.if you block the money means money paid,because bank says blocked money might be charged.that is inconvenience for customer. No places close if you look for traditional everyday thai restaurants. At least we could find none. But there are lots of other cuisines in the area so you dont have to stay hungry :-) And there is a very good Korean restaurant opposit the hotel. Being close to the main road it is slightly noisy in the night and early mornings. Not an issue as I always carry my earplugs. nothing other than that. Rooms smallish. Cannot think of anything. It is just a good hotel. Ceilings are low in places, watch out if you are tall. It was far from Grand Palace. Very stylish glass bathroom a little offputting however well you know your travelling companion but would still visit again and reccommend. Breakfest was not included in our room rate. There is some ants in the room that we stay. the stuff tited my room and forgot to lock the room door. i had some expensive items such as ipod, but nothing was taken. i told the worker at the front desk and all she said was that they are sorry and pay better attention at the future. The location of the hotel is off the main road and may need a bit of time to find it upon arrival . Once, you've located it, else is like a breeze. Hotel price: a little bit overpriced. I miss a swimming pool. The outside view of the hotel is just so-so, and it near red-light district at night. Very hard to find. Tucked down a side street and I believe the location map has it listed off the wrong street. Even the taxi drivers we asked gave us different directions. But once found, it is good. Wifi could dropout a bit but was generally ok. Immediate surroundings a bit dingy. Breakfast area was very small. Some guests ended up eating at the lobby. Lack of convenient stores in the immediate surroundings. Breakfast was a wholesome but lacked imagination. Small but adequate buffet style. room door is not sound proof, can hear clearly when someone walks by. Breakfast is simple. N/A. no complaints at all. I think that at £45 per night it's a little expensive. Some taxis may not know where it is. So have the address and phone number if you plan to taxi from airport or just have them drop you off at BTS Asoke -- it's literally a 1 minute walk from there. Breakfast can offer more variety. However, it is still delicious!. The hotel location map is not correct in the website. It's hard to find when I tried to locate it from BTS station. In addition, WIFI was very slow. The reception staff told us we did not need to book a taxi to go to the train station for the airport. When we asked them for a taxi they had difficulty getting one (it was rush hour), they must have told the taxi driver the incorrect name of the station, we were dropped at the wrong station and subsequently we missed our flight!! Our room was on the first floor- there was noise from preparing the breakfast room. Smell from sewer in bathroom.
