Amazing hotel find. Honeyly couldnt have asked for better. It got me thinking since the hotel was on the other side of the river and would spend a lot of time and money crossing but was wrong, ferry is not even 2min and pier just next to hotel for less than 10cents a person to cross and get u in the grand palace entrance and on the night and were lazy the taxi never costs us even 5euro. Wonderfull hotel, great food, great location, on the mornings they have a big market outside were u can find .
all reviews » The room was clean with many amenities. However the main reason for choosing this hotel was its location on the river and close to a Marathon event we were attending. It was in a convenient location and just right for us. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The view from the rooms were amazing. The Grand Palace and Temple of Dawn were in full view and lit up at night added a special ambiance. The location was fantastic, boasting views of nearby Wat Pho,Wat Arun and also the grand palace. It was situated between two local boat stops, both of which the staff were more then willing to offer directions and advise with. All members of staff were incredibly polite, helpful and friendly. They really made you feel welcome and appreciated at all times. The location was excellent--a beautiful view across the river to the grand palace and wat arun. also only 100m to a major boat "bus" stop, making access to the city very easy. The neighborhood was very interesting, too--in the heart of a bustling market with lots of food choices. Very much a non-tourist area. The location was superb just a ferry ride away from the Grand Palace. Amazing views from the rooftop bar ..and superb views whilst hAving breakfast on the 2nd floor. Wifi free and in rooms, but not fast enough to stream and download, but can check emails and Facebook. Location not acsessable from a main road, but hotels tuktuk will pick you up and drop you off FOC. As the roof bar is open to public, the visitors leaving at night could be quite noisy. Nothing, although like everywhere in Bangkok, it wasn't always easy to decipher the English spoken with a Thai accent. The roof top bar I found too expensive. A little bit difficult if you don't know the area well. Too poor breakfast. Way too small room for 4 stars hotel. The main way to get around attractions is ferry, so if you are late have to take bus (takes long time) or taxi. Poor breakfast. A little, small room, it is hard to be found for the first time. I feel for this place, the staff try realy hard but it is just not a 4 star hotel. Bathrooms are too small (can't open door when you are on the toilet). And there are basically no facilities. the staff could be more service minded as we had to leave early a breakfast couldnt be organised. Breakfast is terrible. Hotel location is ok for sightseeing since all temples are near, however it is very far from the airport. The neighbourhood is very bad, dirty and smelly. on the other side of the river, difficult to take taxi, not exactly a 4 star hotel.
