We booked 4 nights in Amber Hotel. Arrived in Amber Hotel on 19th September, we were told the hotel was overbooked and we were asked to move in to other hotel for the first night. The staff from Amber hotel promised to upgrade our room for the rest of our stay. The Hotel we moved in was horrible. We checked in Amber the next day, check in was efficient, staffs were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and super cleaned. The first night in Amber, air-condition was not working, staff .
all reviews » The staff is amazing and very helpful. The hotel is such a great value for money in terms of comfortability, cleanliness and facilities. It is also a new hotel with great design. The location is fair, about 700 meters to the nearest BTS Chong Nonsi (approximately 10 minutes walk). However, the heat of the day in Bangkok makes it feel like miles away from the sky train, let alone the busy traffic all the time of the day. There are several good places to go near the hotel such as the Dean & D. Nicely located in Silom, close to shops, sky train (Chong Nong Si station), massage parlors, restaurants and 20mn walk away from Silom Complex and Sala Deng station. My room was large, clean, very well furnished, nice bedsheets, very good bathroom and I loved having a living room with a sofa, large coffee table and TV. All hotels goodies (bathroom, gowns, safe) were very handy. 2 computers for free use. Good staff, always willing to help with luggage and requests. I was worring about the location as what all the reviews say, but actually it's not that difficult to find it. There are some restaurants along the road back to hotel are really nice, you can find good food there and the waiters are very friendly. I like the design of our room, very unique and lovely,especially the small coach in front of the TV in the living room. The staff here are also very helpful. This is one of the best of many hotels I've stayed in Thailand. Friendly staff and excellent atmosphere. The night we check in we were upgraded from a standard double room to a deluxe, a much bigger room for free for 3 nights! Awesome for its value and clean as hell! Would recommend to anyone! Convinient and close to Chong Nonsi sky train station just 8min walk. 15 min walk from Debua skybar hotel. Booked the Suite, The room was perfect, the hotel is difficult to spot from Silom road as it is in a side road but it is a short strol from the ferry pier. [Bangkok advice, do not trust taxi drivers, ask for taxi meter and make sure they do not try to take you the long way arround. Ferry service is great just 15 Bath per ride] Go to Lebua tower folr the great view on the bar. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very modern, comfortable and clean. The breafast was nice, good selection of food. Its in a quite little street away from the crazyness of bangkok but close enough to get a tuk tuk everywhere or the sky train stop is just 5 mins away. We loved our stay here and would recommend this hotel to everyone!. The Amber Boutique is a little pearl hidden in an side alley of the Silom Road next to the Pullman Hotel. It's a modern, clean and very nice Hotel and we loved the time we were guest in this house. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We booked our room spontaniously one das before we arived and we will come back in the future for sure. Hotel staff is very friendly and happy to answer any questions and arrange tours that would best suit your needs.location is fantastic. Just off the main silom road and just minutes to all the street markets rail stations and night life. Especially the famous patpong road. Small boutique hotel but its very clean,wifi is strong, and the room is big. Breakfast is simple but enough. Location is about 10 min walk to BTS station still ok for me. If from airport told the teksi its located after Narai hotel will do. I was really happy with my overall stay there. The location is a little hard to notice along Silom road...You have to memorize the surrounding landmark (I.E. Narai Hotel, Pullman g hotel) when you tell the taxi driver. a bit of a walk from Silom road , i didn't mind that a lot though. No swimming pool. evening staff were not so helpful , could not help with most quieries the tour company the hotel books with are not organised at all . spent hours driving around picking up other guests and changing vans about 5 times. nothing. We had a room facing the dining area - my girlfriend got woken up by the noise of staff setting up the tables. Breakfast was simple Beware of not drinking the Evian water. They charge you 120 THB. I confused it with the free water. One lady was rude to my girlfriend. I think because she was Thai. I hate to see that demonstrated. Hotel is not located directly on Silom but in a little passage way. By the time I arrived to the hotel there was only one room left on ground floor (hate that!) Means no day light or view. Felt like luxury in bad place. Hindu holiday was jamming Silom. 1 hour from highway exit to hotel. Although nice at reception, they gave me very bad direction to the bus station. I had to hassle and make long walk with luggage to get there. Took a taxi at the end.
