Last year we stayed in the Aetas Residence next to the hotel. Which is a serviced appartment and we liked the location and the service. This year i decided to stay at the hotel instead. Luckily the room we had reserved was fully booked so we got upgraded free of charge to an executive suite on the 21th floor. Spacious room, with seperate livingroom, extra toilet and a large bathroom. livingroom equipped with a large tv and a nice Sony soundstation that plays ipod, mp3 player, cd-dvd photoslide.
all reviews » We did honeymoon in phuket and returning home we stayed only one night in Aetas. They upgraded our room and send a cake to our room.Next day our flight was late and after a city sighseeing returned to hotel to pick up our luggages they suggested we can have a shower if we want in the Gym facilities. This was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. We really liked the pool area , though not huge was very nice. We stayed in an executive room and the lounge was excellent as were the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was good and we had a late checkout which really helped. The view from the executive lounge was great as were the free cocktails every night. Staffs are active, nice, extremely polite, willing, and English-speaking. Briefly, hotel provides a good service. Straightforward street to the BTS Phloen Chit station and only walk for 5-7 mins to get there. Super security. Great room with high class equipments, setting is suitable for business use. We like evrtyhing. Great stuff helpfull. Very nice big rooms se had club deluxe and it was just great. We get good packeg for 5 nights including breakfest afteroon snack and evening coctails and also cleaning and drying clothes. For free. We payd 540 euro per 5 nights. Just great for Bangkog. The hotel is very new, and the design is very good. Beds are soooo comfortable. Especially when you upgrade to suite room, you get the value for money. I will highly recommend that visitors use taxi for airport/hotel transportation vs. the rail. The saving is not worth it to use the rail compared to the trouble of climbing or descending stairs. The only problem is the location of the pool which loses sunlight after 1 pm. Apart from that this hotel really is first class. My wife and I couldn't think of anything to dislike about this hotel. Nothing. The only thing I have ever disliked about the hotel is he location of the swimming pool which gets very little sunshine after 1 pm. Location was not up to the level. The only small problem with the hotel is the location of the pool, which loses direct sunlight by about 1 pm as it is behind the main building on the 6th floor. Otherwise I am always happy with the hotel. Arrived early and was waiting few hours for the room to be ready, but was finally upgraded to finally sleep a bit ). Only one thing....when in the shower, a lot of water ran on to the floor. The Internet was strong but kept on disconnecting. There's nothing that we didn't like. 1 taxi trip ripped us off by 200 baht but the hotel did ensure that every taxi trip after that we had a price and destination agreed with the driver - maybe that should be there new standard!. Hotel bar is quite expensive. Swimming pool could be bigger . Swimming pool was often too noisy and very busy. The pool doesn't get much sunshine either which was a little disappointing. Tea Dilmah and coffee Nescafe for money. It's not 5star level. Printer - 20 baht per page. The location is in the business part of the city. You will not find cheap cafe near. We ate in the shopping centres which are 10-15 min away by foot. Also I asked to call taxy. Personal told that it will be taxy by meter, of course. But taxy that arrived was on the fix price and was more expensive. it's a pity that 5star hotel support dishonest taxi drivers. At 5 in the morning we can't change car. None. No return shuttle from train station. The Location as the area is too quite and not serviced well with any convenience stores. I like a top sheet on my bed as well as a doona. The club lounge lacks atmosphere. The hotel is trying to be 5* but it really is only 4*. Not anything noteworthy. - didn't get double bed. staff should know the check out time. I asked if i could check out late, i was told 10 am when infact normal time is 12pm. She said i could then check out late at 12pm, as if i was given a later time. Mattress not comfortable at all. Internet kept on disconnecting. 1 - Too far from downtown 2 - There were many ants in bathroom.
