I've traveled extensively in Thailand, across various types of accommodations from 5-star hotels to really budget-friendly guesthouses. I have to say that I'm impressed a lot by this hotel - clean rooms, neat presentation, friendly staff and boss, and quiet enough for a decent sleep. I like the value for money that this hotel provides - even my mom got amazed at this place (that says a lot). We are staying here only for one night as we are moving tomorrow to George Town. If only we don't have .
all reviews » Very nice clean hotel run by an accommodating Englishman. He provided us with local information and arranged a motorbike for us at a good price. Good facilities in the room, and if you fancy a night off the booze you can rent a dvd player and choose from hundreds of new movies! Although quite far up the road from the beach it is a good location, from the beach you can take long boats to near by islands such as Reilly. We stayed there for 3 nights and the hosts are very helpful and friendly during our visit and give advice on what to do during our visit. The place itself about 15-30 min by walk to the beach. Nice little hotel. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Host spain man named Jose very welcoming. He is always ready to help. We all liked it. Great value for the price - quality. Friendly and helpfull hosts, good breakfast, comfortabel beds, nice location with lot of restaurants and shops, 15 minute walk to the beach. Nice staff and central location. No bugs in the room. Though the distance to Ao Nang centre may be a bit long, I don't think that that's enough reason to devalue the hotel. Quite a far walk from the beach, but you can hop on and off shared taxis easily enough. It is quite a long walk to the beach, about 20 minutes. One can take a tuktuk for a couple of baths which solves it. Small internet wifi problem on two days, but working on later. Little too long way the walking on the beach, about 20-25 minutes. Okay, scooter- tuk tuk is easy, about hundred bath. Only I thinking that the price in one night (1000 bth), 800 bth would have been a better. far from the beach - not 10 min walk, it was at least 20-25 min for us, not too pleasant uphill in that heat, wo shadow (if you are lucky you can catch a songtaew for 20 Baht). Rooms are unpractically small, so much so that one tends to hit elbow with walls while changing the shirt. size of the rooms does not allow two single beds to be placed separated, therefore these have to be invariably joined together ( when joined together these occupy 125% space of that of a Queen sized bed )beating the typical requirement of twin beds. Better replace all twin beds with a dobble bed. The matress is like a bench. Horriiiiiiiible !!! I think the owner never slept in their beds. The hotel is far from everything. We booked a double bed but ended with single bed. No window in the room.
