The owner/manager is awesome! He was friendly from the first moment and has a wealth of knowledge and advice. He speaks fluent English and knows the western culture enough to anticipate needs. We also liked that the bungalows were set far enough from the road that it was quiet and offered a nice clean jungle type setting that was close enough to Aonang beach, the restaurants and bars. The family restaurant was also cheap and located next door. One stop shop also has very reasonably priced to.
all reviews » Ismail is a great host. The Bungalow is very close to the beach and some great local restaurants. It's also quiet at night. The bungalow itself is pretty basic - bed, TV, wardrobe, A/C, and fan. The weather was nice enough that a simple fan at night was enough to keep me comfortable. Internet is available (I was able to Skype with family), but it doesn't reach the bungalow I stayed in. I definitely recommend a stay here. We had such a good time at Ao Nang in Anawin Bungalows. Clean and air- conditioned twin bed bungalow as request. Great location on the main Ao Nang road near shops and the beach. Friendly staff, the french manager was very kind offering us some tea and good advices. There is also the Anawin tour agency right there where Ismail provided us transfers and a couple of tour for a very reasonable and honest price. Recommended!. everything about Anawin Bungalow is great- The proprietor, Ismail, is extremely friendly and ever ready to share information..The manager, Gil, I think, was also very friendly and generous with information. The place is near the town and also the beach- Superb!. The room was very clean and reasonably comfortable. The staff was very helpful and smiling. The owner was also very relaxed yet professional and helpful. The property is very quaint and quiet. A great place to stay in Ao Nang. If I HAD to make one suggestion, the only possible thing was we had the last bungalow furthest from the office so our wifi was very spotty but you know what, we didn't even miss it!. Be careful of the mosquitoes in the breakfast/lounge area. Also, I knew when I arrived that I wouldn't have Internet in my room, but still, it would have been nice. Nothing really- this is the perfect place to stay. N/a. We really had a good time. Everythink was great. There were a lot of ants but I think that's the time of year!. The music at night. We like to listen to the sound of nature! And if there has to be music at all, I would prefer Thai-music. room wasnt cleaned each day.
