The views from, and space in the rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Location was great. Staff excellant.Amazing view of the Matterhorn. Excellent breakfast. Really nicecomfortable and clean room. Close to everything. Great breakfast, good value for the price. It's hard to really judge this hotel because we were there off-season, so the services that they would normally have were not available. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were large, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was decent. We had a lovely view of the Matterhorn from our large shared balcony.

The location is very inconvenient - far away from the main part of town (train station and shops) and equally far from the lifts. The only saving point is that they provide a shuttle to and from the train station so you don't have to take your luggage on a 10 minute walk up and down hills.We were expecting a better view from the hotel balcony. Outside noise from building work was a problem (although this probably applies to all Zermatt hotels at this time of year). The 5am brass band directly outside the hotel was really upsetting (this annual event should either be moderated or at least the hotel should give forewarning). Allowing smoking. Decor a bit tired looking in places.Soap dispensers in the bathroom. Staff not very friendly..Ran out of breakfast half an hour before it was to be served.. Three tables had little to eat. the lack of view from my single room. I looked at the wall of the building across the street. Unable to connect to the promised free wireless internet, staff unable to assist. Noise. Pricing 10-15% above standards (Certainly due to Zermatt area). The whirlpool and the solarium are a joke... I didn't dear to get in. They claimed to have WiFi but it did not work. The staff was clueless when it came 2 helping in the situation. Also the hotel clerk was not around for check-in (my key was left on the counter) or follow up questions about the hotel. When she was around, she could be found in the bar smoking and drinking with friends. It should also b noted that this hotel is located rather far from the train station. Appear to encourage smoking within the hotel, ashtrays everywhere. Nosmell in room, but smell of tobacco in the passageways. Staff notamenable to questions.Whirlpool and steamroom facilities are basic and require preparation. The service provided by the staff was really bad. When I arrived at the Zermatt train station and phoned hotel staff to drive a hotel car to pick me up, the staff told me that the hotel did not own a car. However, later I saw a car with hotel name parked near the hotel. The restaurant staff even refused to give me a cup of water in the breakfast time. Anyway, staff service in hotel is poor.Rooms are not soundproof,therefore conversations are not hard to miss next door. to much cigarette smoke in the lobby and dining room. Far to the center of zermatt. Mold in the bathroom...The restaurant closed at 9pm and I found the Chef / Waiter rather rude at times. The breakfast buffet was near empty at 9am on the day we wanted to check out and we had to wait around for food and coffee. Also, there wasn't much in terms of provisions in the bathroom, just a liquid soap dispenser, no shampoo or soap. Location was also a pain, bit too far from the center for a small town!. low water pressure. Smoking allowed in the bar area, poor attitude from staff, sometimes left feeling like a problem to them and not welcome. The bathroom was not well-lid and the breakfast did not serve enough food to accommodate all the guests.It needs a little renovations. i paid for a 3 bed room and was given a 2 bed room , but charged for a 3 bed room.

The dining room has about 100 seats and we serve a delicious 4-course meal in the evening. The breakfast is served in a buffet style where our guests can serve themselves. The cosy hotel bar is decorated in Walliser style and ideal for a drink at the end of the day.

Room information details

Our hotel has double rooms with baths, triple rooms and single rooms with showers. The beautiful and comfortable rooms are decorated in the typical ''Walliser Chalet'' style.

The rooms to the south and the single rooms all have beautiful views of the Matterhorn.

Travelling information

We are about 7 minutes walk from the village centre and from the train station and 5 minutes walk from the ski station Sunnega and Rothorn Paradise.
