The location of the hotel, although well away from any of the maintourist spots was perfect for our purposes. Neuchatel and Interlakenare both within easy reach and Lake Geneva is less than an hour away bycar. The drive up to the hotel gives beautiful views across LakeNeuchatel. While we did not eat dinner at the hotel, the atmosphere inthe bar was good. The Hotel is located in a lovely hilly surrounding. A very quiet and pleasant place to stay.all reviews »
To get to our rooms, we had to pass through the proprietor's livingquarters which were in quite an untidy state and a little off-putting.This did not give a good first impression but, once we saw how good ourrooms were, those first impressions were soon forgotten. The Hotel wasn't very clean in itself, since a family lives around. However the room cleanliness was acceptable. Maybe this was due to we being at the place in the low season.

By Car:
- Leave Basel on the A2 motorway.
- At Härkingen take exit 45 to join the A1 (in the direction of Lausanne Bern).
- At Leuterbach take exit 41 (in the direction of Lausanne, Interlaken, Berne) to join the A5.
- At exit 27/28 take Biel Ost and follow the A16 to the exit for Frinviliers.
- From here follow the signs for Orvin.
By Public Transport:
Take an intercity train to Biel/Bienne, followed by a regional train to La Neuveville and then the postal bus Nods.
