Everithing was really perfect! I think it is wrong "rated" as a 2-starhotel! The staff was extremely friendly and helpfull, the room was big,super clean and comfortableandwhatever it was written it is offered, it isreally true! I'm astonished!. The hotel was really nice, all the staff were extrememly friendly. The rooms were lovely and the food was just wonderful.The whole area was really nice and would certainly go back again.all reviews »
the staff were welcoming and helpful, will book in again on our next european adventure. 10/10. Very lovely family run hotel, nothing is ever a problem. friendliness and helpfulness of staff, location, setting... but having a quintuple room available was the primary reason we chose Kreuz at Maltersloved the setting, town, access to Luzerne. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was great. As others have commented , much better than a one star hotel.Very friendly staff. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. The room was large and clean.Good it had a family room. Very clean and comfortable room. Easy to find, helpful staff, quiet and clean room, good food for dinner at convenient price, large and appreciable breakfast, parking facilities.everything. I travelled by car. It would have been nice to have more information about their facilities and local highlights available in English.As I saw in another review, the loud gonging clock across the road could be a problem to some. Church clock bells that rang all through the night!.Noise from youths outside until early morning (it was a Friday). Parking. Very much road noise!. the noise of the youth leaving the biergarten in the middle of the night and the church clock each half/whole hour ringing the bell.

What makes a stay at the Hotel Kreuz incomparable is its personal touch, which is guaranteed by our long tradition of hospitality. Call it "old-fashioned", but we want nothing more than guests who want for nothing and who feel good all around.
Our hotel consists of the main building and of the "Villa zum Kreuz" next door.

The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The elevator is located in the main building. Persons with a disability are therefore kindly asked to inform the hotel thereof in advance so a room in the main building can be arranged for them. Please inform Kreuz in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

Our hotel has good transportation links and is only 15 min away from the centre of Lucerne, and 10 min from the Basle-Chiasso motorway. It is an ideal stopover on the way south.
From the A2 motorway take the exit Emmen Süd. Then follow the blue signs in the direction of Bern/Entlebuch. You will arrive at our hotel in 12 min.
