The location is about 10 mins from Lucerne main train station, easily
found. I stayed in a private three-bed room which was beond expectation.
From the review I learnt that the 3-bed room will have one king-size bed
and a single bed on top it so the third person will need to climb to
sleep, but my room was quite large, with the single bed not hanging on
top of the king-size bed. The bathroom was big enough, door was not
transparent as reviewed previously and can be locked from inside. Bed

It is really good value for money in Switzerland! Moreover it is not so far from main sightseenigs. The rooms have air conditions, tv and wifi. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Everything is the same as you can see from the hotel's pictures. Many people wrote that rooms were small and it's inconvenient. I think that for 1-3 nights it's ok. It is a place to spend nights because the rest of the time you will walk around this wonderful city - Luzern!.
The staff there were quite helpful, thoughtful and gentle. We booked a triple room for three adults, and one little baby. When we arrived in the hotel, the female staff saw the room we booked is not so suitable for all of us, she changed for us a bigger triple room with the same price. So touched! How great and nice person she was! I will for sure choose again this hotel next time I go Luzern. 100% recommended!!!.
Location was great. I already read all the reviews so I was not into any surprise. Room was tiny and the bathroom / toilet was separated as mentioned in other reviews. Few times bumped my head in the bunk bed. But staff were really helpful. Denner next door came in very handy. Location was walkable to all the attractions.
The hotel is located 10 minutes walking distance from the train station. We were lost at first, and the local people are very helpful and showed us the direction to the hotel. The receptionists was very helpful and friendly. The top tourist attractions are all just nearby the hotel. The bed was very comfortable.
Walking distance from the railway station. Everything is Lucerne is near the Railway station. So, good location. Rooms are clean. Staff is fine. Breakfast not included in tariff. Wi-fi speed is excellent! May be a bit expensive for a budget hotel, but still it maintains professional and cleanly environment.
Great location - less than a 10 minute walk from the train station and
all the "action". The hotel was such a great value and offered
parking for 8 chf for a 24-hour period. We definitely felt lucky to have
booked a hotel with parking here!! The staff helped us navigate around
the city very graciously!.
Very clean and simplistic. I liked its facilities like lighting and use of elavator, etc. Reception was quick and smooth, very friendly just like other Swiss people's business.
Design is very monotoned yet some colors add little more values to the simple design of overall hotel throughout.
We stayed for one night in a triple room. The hotel was within walking distance of the important areas: supermarket (next door), station, the bridge, old town, restaurants. The reception was friendly, fast, and helpful. The room was clean and efficient. Parking was not free but easy.

Location is perfect compare to the hotels stands across the river in consider of the price. Just take 3 stops by bus No. 4. Hotel is just opposite of street.

There is a bus stop just outside the hotel that takes you to the train station so it saves about 10 min walk. Also, the grocery store is next to the hotel as well. I like the undermounted wall night lamp. Very cool design. The shower and water was pretty good.
I was there in this hotels for there days. Hotel is really good with well public transport and 10mins walk from Luzern railway station and 5mins by bus. Bus stop is infront of the hotel. I am not sure of break fast and food since we did not have in the hotel.
The breakfast was good, and the atmosphere in the hotel was youthful. It was a very basic hotel, with the third person sleeping in a bunk bed above our double bed. The location was great, given that we took a train there and left on a train the next day.
We used the Ibis budget Luzern for an overnight stop en-route to Italy, it is ideally situated for the town and lake, there are plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance, although this is a budget hotel it serves it's purpose well.
it is very clean, great value for the money. Location is very convenient. I would say it is the best hotel you can find at this cost -- I am not comparing to those 4 star 5 star hotels along the lake that would cost several hundred euros.

The staff were very helpful and gave us lots of information about where to go in town; the hotel is well located with just a short walk into town; parking is available; free wi fi with the password given on check in; nice breakfast.
This hotel was walking distance from the train station and the historical old town section. Room was clean with comfortable bed. The room was compact with a very small shower. The shower door actually opened into the room.

Just across the road is the bus stop to the train station and a little Malaysian/Vietnamese restaurant. On the same side of the road is a little supermarket which is quite convenient.

It was really surprise that Ibis is so good! Rooms are fully equiped and comfortable. Personal was very friendly. Close to city center.

Size of the room and the bathroom design. Since this is a budget hotel and I already expected this, I didn't care much. For this price it was a steal. There are bigger rooms available. I would've been happier if I was given this room :( considering we were family of 4.
The room was too small for group of 3 people. The basic necessity ie kettle was not provided but you can always get a free hot water at the kitchen. After all, the hotel suit for a budget backpackers like us. Cheers!.

Location is kinda far to walk with luggages. It is easy to find, yet dark and gloomy in streets in contrasts to strasses near the rhine. Hated the fact that this hotel's toilet and shower had no doorknob and especially shower was semi transparent.
Lack of privacy in the bathroom (no lock, partly transparent glass door and no hanger for the bathroom).
The room is really really small. We ordered triple room, though the boy is extremly excited with his bed on top of our head. I only opened 1 suitcase as there is no extra space.
I wish there is a phone in the room to call the front desk or make calls between rooms. Hair dryer should be in the room. It can be anchored on the wall. It is an extra hassle to put a deposit to get it.

The a/c did not work in our room, but the staffperson compensated us with something else, which we appreciated. Unfortunately the room was no longer quiet because we had to open the extra-thick windows to cool down the room.

Would be better if it can be a little more spacious. But we anticipated the size when we booked the hotel. so this was not even a weakness here.
Another thing was breakfast was not included. But again, we knew this when we booked the hotel, so this is not a complaint at all.
1) WC is not friendly for fellow travelers if they are not couple
2) No balcony or any nice view from room.
The shower cubical is in the bedroom - not an issue for us, but a little strange; the toilet door was not full size (gap about 4 inches to the floor and a hole instead of a handle), which is a little uncomfortable; no wardrobe in the room just 4 coat hangers on a hook - not enough for two people.
The room had limited space for suitcases and limited area to hang up clothing.

hair drier.
The condition of the towels and the hotel should really provide a bath mat. I think the hotel would welcome more people if these changes are implemented. Otherwise, would really stay in this hotel again as it's value for money in this overly-priced city. :).
It is near the train station and not so near. As a first timer, it is difficult for us to find out way there unless we take a taxi.

The triple rooms were small leaving very little space to move around the
room. The toilets were also really small. However, it is a budget
friendly hotel to stay in luzern city. I would say you pay what it is
worth, reasonable pricing for Switzerland.

the small room we had, it was a nicer prison cell. No doorhandle on bathroom door nor the shower door, just an empty hole to stick your fingers in. Windows could not be opened.
The free WiFi is administered by a daily login card (you are supplied 1 card per person per night, they log you in for 24hours). We found that if you logged out when not using (as the login page demanded), then we could not login after that using any codes. Easy fix - don't log out!! (Using mobile phones, 1 android, 1 iPhone).
