We stayed at CAMPEGGIO-OSTERIA RIPOSO one night, after travelling in the Verzasca Valley, and on the next day continued to Maggia Valley. This family run hostel located few bus stops from Locarno and not far from the bus station Caserma. The place is very clean and staff is very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the dorm, which despite of many beds it felt roomy. Good value for the price (which is quite low for Switzerland). It's possible to buy a beer in the evening and a great coffee in .
