Berggasthaus Marmorbruch is located in Flelewald Forest with a backdrop of the Bernese Alps. The guest house is 5 minutes’ drive from Grindelwald’s Gondola Lift and has a terrace with excellent views of the valley and the Eiger Mountain. Rooms are decorated with Alpine-style wooden panelling and furnishings. Shared bathroom facilities are available to guests and are on the same floor as the rooms. The interconnecting rooms can be made into a quad room. Free private parking is available on site and guests can have access to free WiFi in the entire house. Ski storage facilities are also available for use and there is a garage for motorbikes directly in front of the house. The restaurant serves traditional Swiss Cuisine such as fondue, sausages, rösti and the speciality Töffsattel. There is an outdoor hot tub for up to 8 guests heated by a wood stove available on request. Plenty of hiking trails lead from the guest house into beautiful Alpine scenery. The region is also ideal for motorbike tours. Berggasthaus Marmorbruch is a 10-minute drive from Grindelwald’s centre and train station.

Some of the staff spoke English which was helpful to us. The half board evening meal was 4 course and very filling. Charming older building. Llamas in the yard. Our room had a balcony with a nice view. Friendliness of the staff Wonderful location. Shared shower small but adequate.
