The newly renovated Matterhorn Valley Hotel Desirée enjoys a central location in Grächen, only 3 minutes from both cable cars. It features a sauna, a steam bath and a teens' corner with an Xbox and a Playstation. All rooms have been tastefully furnished and provide flat-screen satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. From December to April, child care is available in the afternoon. A ski deposit with ski shoe warmers and winter sport equipment is also available. The Desirée hotel has a restaurant with a sunny terrace, serving Valais specialities such as fondue and meat grilled directly at the table. The cosy bar invites you to end your day in a charming ambiance.

The hotel was wonderful, clean, very well kept; the staff was outstanding! They were very helpful and courteous; made us feel very welcome and comfortable, and would make sure that we were satisfied with their facility and service. This hotel is fantastic!. Everything was super, room was comfortable and staff was very frendly and helpful. Nothing to dislike. The only thing that I would advise is that, if you drive by yourself into Grächen, to call the hotel ahead of or upon arrival at the town center (by the church). Grächen has some areas that are car-free (which in a way is a plus), and the hotel staff will arrange for your transportation from the town center to the hotel and for parking your car (5 CHF/night at a nearby parking lot).
