We had a very good view of the scenery, including the alps mountain and the aare river. Owner Stephan was very accommodating and helpful in giving us info on sites to vist in interlaken. Excellent location with great views of the surrounding area.The staff was wonderful, they do ewrithing for us. Very nice facilities and staff. Place is located in a quiet area of town with a good view of the mountains.

Some Switzerland hotels offered complimentary bus tickets while staying in the hotel. Gasthof Schoenegg, unfortunately does not participate in such scheme. It would be nice if they would serve breakfast earlier like 0700 to allow guests to get a bit of an earlier start on sightseeing and other activities.No hair dryer. Telphon in room. A little far from the center. There are not so many choices by breakfast. no telphon , no ironand poor in personal services. Hotel was built on a slope, the family room was two stairs down from the road, no elevators. Small and not well lit bathroom. Go by car to Interlaken Ost station, this is saver and much quicker than walking.Breakfast very basic, early departure time, single duvet on double bed. The breakfast as I would perfer something hot like a typical English breakfast or atleast some eggs. don't have lift, need to walk up to 1st floor. Its a 10 min walk from Interlaken centre, however I did not mind this and it is an easy walk. Just be aware!. no. internet not good. Wifi was not working properly. tea and coffee facilities in room would have been an improvement.. distance from railway station and central area quite a long walk. staff not friendly. I needed to book a hotel in Montreux for the following day, but theInternet did not work and there was no telephone. I was told by hotelstaff that I could drive to the city centre and use a telephone there!!. Late breakfast - from 7:30 - and you miss the bus to Interlaken (oneper an hour); Cleanliness - the sheets was not changed for all ourstay - 4 days. have to check in after 3pm.
