Charmingly located in a historical park milieu by Lake Mälaren, the Rosersberg Palace was built by the Oxenstierna family in the 1630s and became a royal palace in 1762. Today it functions as Rosersbergs Hotell och Konferens, offering excellent hotel, conference and restaurant services, only 10 minutes from Stockholm Arlanda Airport. Rosersbergs Hotell och Konferens offers 3 different room types; Cavalier Wing rooms, Theatre Wing rooms and Källarbacken rooms, all with their own historical context within the palace grounds. The area of Rosersberg is part of Sigtuna, one of Sweden’s oldest and most picturesque towns, dating back to around 980 AD. Sigtuna has a medieval street plan, 12th and 13th century ruins and several runic monuments in the town centre.

The Källarbacken rooms are located by the palace stables, in what originally was an ice cellar. Today the building represents the classicism of the late 1950s. All rooms were renovated in the beginning of 2009. The Källarbacken room is designed in collaboration with famous interior design store Svenskt Tenn, with their classic textiles and the furniture of Josef Frank.
