La Morada is located in a small village just outside Burgos and the perfect retreat after a long journey by car from England, we felt very welcomed by Laura and her husband who have done an excellent job to turn this country house into a comfortable B&B. The rooms are generous, very clean and quiet. The communal area beautiful designed. We woke up really rested to continue our journey after a lovely breakfast. Laura's self made biscocho is to die for!.
all reviews » This a lovely small hotel in a small village close to Burgos. It is a beautifully renovated old house which was a pleasure to stay in. It is ideal for travellers with a car for visiting Burgos and other attractions nearby. The use of a communal kitchen was very useful for us. The proprietress is charming and very helpful. Thoroughly recommended. Very well run family business. Laura was very welcoming, friendly and informative. Lovely individual rooms in a rural country house, quiet location but ask Laura for some great local restaurants. The breakfast was fresh with some homemade cakes, excellent!. Friendly welcome. Lovely setting, High class facilities. We used La Morada del cid on our way to Santander for the ferry to the uk. Only a 2 hours drive. Very taken to find it was the village where El Cid was born. the rooms were very comfortable and good value for money.Lovely views over the countryside,Laura the manager was very friendly.Good to have use of the kitchen.Ideal for one night stay whilst touring. Its located in a very nice place if you want tranquility. Its in a medieval village. The room was clean and big enough. The staff were very friendly. Surpassed our expectations. I would come again. The staff is friendly and easy- going. none! Have only positives to say. 5 stars!. Nothing. Its a very good place if you have a car. Its a little bit far from Burgos cita center. A little noisy. No A/C. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. Unfortunately our stay was spoilt by a neighbours continuously barking dog which was tied to a kennel on the actual pavement opposite where the owner lived. This seems to be a problem as authorities ignore complaints. safer to drive to local restaurant,than walk.The one in the village had closed down. nothing. Easy to find but maybe another sign as you leave the roAd may be helpful. It's not their fault but one of the neighbours has a dog that barks a lot and is very loud. The owners were very apologetic about that. The food served in the hostel is ok. An effort could be made to have menus translated properly. paid breakfast.
