Our room was comfortable, we loved opening our windows to the sea sounds and view. The English-speaking staff made things easier. The food was average. It was fun to be in easy walking distance of shops and eating establishments. We enjoyed driving into the Picos de Europa, and found the Tito Bustillo Cave was fascinating. The weather didn't cooperate - it was misty and rainy during most of our time in Ribadesella.
all reviews » This is possibly the most friendly hotel/B&B that I have stayed in. The staff were excellent: very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They went out of their way to make me feel at home. The location is excellent: a short pleasant walk away from town, but right next to the beach - I had a fanastic sea view (recommended). A great base for visiting the Picos de Europa. I will definitely stay again. We received exactly what we requested, a twin room overlooking the sea. Reception staff were extremely helpful and the room was roomy and well furnished. Although its a pleasant walk into the old town to access seafood restaurants, there are also very nice ones just around the corner of the hotel. Friendly staff, great location at the junction of the mouth of the river and the sea, on the seawalk. Easy walk to the older part of town where good seafood and cider abound. We were served tea in the lounge area in the late afternoon, a pleasant event. Breakfast was varied and pleasant. Very nice small little, very good relation price/quality, the staff is very helpful. The hotel is situated next to the beach and the village of Ribadesella is a small jewel. Very nice stay there !. Staff very helpful with suggestions for places to visit and restaurants. Everything was excellent. Not applicable everything was very good. Although the hotel is in an older, but well maintained and updated building, it would have been helpful to have had elevators. The lobby/reception is up a steep flight of stairs and the rooms on the level above that. All else was wonderful. For this reason, the price was a bit high, in relation to other hotels I booked for this trip, especially as we were in late May, low season. Carpeted rooms. budget hotel for those seeking luxury but not an issue for us. The only downside was that it would have been nice to have facilities for a warm drink at night either in a bar or the room as the weather can be a bit chilly. No evening meal but not a problem as easy walking distance from many excellent restaurants. Nothing. Nothing to dislike. Access with luggage is poor - many steps from Car Park to reception and no lift to floors. Limited spaces in, and congested Car Park. Hotel awkward to find on arrival in Ribadesella due to one way system. We found nothing to not like. Not much. The breakfasts were not wonderful. Nothing to dislike.
