This is the second time I stayed in this hotel. I returned to this hotel in just 3 mths :-) Staff provides professional services and they are really nice and helpful. Room is big and comfortable. Compare to the hotel with same price in Playa de las Americas, this hotel is really value for money. Although the location is a bit remote, it just takes me 5 mins (euro 8-10) to take a taxi to Los Cristianos or Playa de las Americas. Hotel also provides shuttle bus services though it's not as frequent.
all reviews » We stayed here for 2 weeks Aug-Sep13 with three kids,12/8/2. The hotel is fabulous for families and couples. Staff at this hotel are absolutely fabulous, the hotel is very clean, very relaxing, beautiful apartments with total privacy. Sleeping is really relaxing as it's very quiet.No partying etc. The pools are wonderful, children's pool very nice and warm. Breakfast is to die for and plenty. I can not fault this hotel. We would be going back next year. Shuttle bus good, life guard for the pool. The room and pool area were excellent! I was concerned about the location being somewhat inland; but, after staying there and seeing the touristy and very busy beach located resorts; I was very happy to be in a quiet and secluded area. The beaches were easily reached by rental car within minutes. Good entertainment activities for the kids. Nice kitchenette to store groceries and beer/wine from the Los Cristianos supermarkets. The Staff were probably the best we have ever experienced, just ask and they will bend over backwards to try and accommodate, the eco pool was especially good as it did not contain stupid amounts of chlorine, and yes you can go get a drink from the bar whilst still in the pool. A lot of thought has gone into the running of the Regency country club, which is very much appreciated by all who stay there, we plan to return in 2014. The staff were superb - so friendly and made you feel special and gave the children special attention. Apartments were the best we have stayed in - quality furnishings and everything you need. Very classy and stylish surroundings and in 30 years of travelling have never been to somewhere with such a high standard all round. Restaurant was lovely and good value with excellent variety!. This is a great place but you need a car. Very comfortable and spacious suites. Our unit, 505, was well appointed and had a nice view of the pool area. The staff is oustanding as all the front desk people were most helpful. A very good place to stay if you want to be a 5 minute drive away from the sheer madness of Los Cristianos. The Regency Country Club is a nice place to stay with either friends or family.The staff are lovely and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great (and so it should be for 12euros!)Plenty for kids to do but nothing too noisy to disturb guests without kids. First of all I liked Bali style design everywhere. Staff is very kind, helpful and friendly. Food and cocktails in hotel restaurant is very tasty and not expensive. Althought the hotel was fully booked there was quite atmosphere everywhere. Room, especially kitchen, is good equiped. The service and staff were very good and the room was kept very clean. Great swimming pool and quite close to main shopping via free mini bus or taxi. Relaxing and quiet. Pool was clean and food was first class. Free sunbeds and towels for pool. Great staff. Very energetic and efficient. There are several activities to keep kids busy. Child care is excellently managed by Ali. Big pool and separate small pool for children. No need to carry kids stuff for pool. Cottages are well equipped. Pool was warm and pool area is really beautifull and comfortable. There is acting kinderclub, good sauna, jaquzzi and area for kids. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Large terrace. Most of the rooms has good views. Qiute mountain location. The minibus into town was useful and we found it on time and convenient. Wifi worked well. All staff were pleasant and the cleaning was done well. The kitchen was pretty well equipped and the mini supermarket had all the essentials. rooms were spotlessly clean & very well equiped peaceful location great staff, very helpful in booking a massage for myself & boyfriend arrived at hotel early at 12.30 to be told our room was ready & could check in. lot of space all time every where, quite and silent place,every where hi quality materials, wood, metal , glass, stone granit, marble not cheap plastic or imitation of other materials. (More of a footnote, than a dislike) Our mattress was very firm, we wish we had ask for it to be changed on the first day, we later found out you could request a mattress tension to your liking, next time we will phone ahead to order. The only thing I would comment on was location - you had to get a taxi or courtesy bus - we got into the habit of using the courtesy bus which was fine. You couldn't walk to town or anywhere as there was a dual carriageway and it was busy - but don't be put off - whats on offer here is well worth it!!. The view from the resort is marginalized by the abandoned, unfinished hospital and crane just below the property. A result of Spain's economic issues. The bathroom is spacious and well appointed but the shower is so small that it is difficult to just turn around. Why does a hotel of this caliber charge 2 euros a day for the use of its room safe? Rather stupid and petty.... It would be perfect if the hotel was located near the beach. Can get a bit windy as location was in the mountains. Check in time was 5.00pm and check out was 10.00am. However we got access to our room by 2.00pm and had to leave by 9.30 am to get flights, so not effected by these times. Others not so lucky!!!. Would be better to have more choices of vegetarian stuff like baked potatoes or vegetables for breakfast. There should be no extra charges for usage of locker in room. This should be built in room price. Really far from seaside, though there is free transfer bus. Check out time was 10:00 (in other hotels it's ussually 12:00). When we came from breakfast at 10:10 the staff simply blocked our room door, without any warning. It seemed not very friendly. Nothing. our room was faulty aircon - not fixed. Staff do what they have to so they bring external aircon wich looks like little factory - not good for smart and creative kids. Wi-fi only on reception area /poor speed. few high crane which damage lovely view. nothing !. Swimming pool was too hot. Heated in summer so only used it twice during the week. This is only my opinion as my partner and her son loved the temperature. Couldn,t really fault, we hired a car, which I think is a must, they do have a courtisey bus with limited times, cabs are only about 7-10 euros into main resorts. personaly not a fan of would be artists trying to sing when i am having diner but you don't have to eat at the hotel.... surrounding area. Unfortunately since the pictures showing the sea view from the pool have been taken for the website a large construction site now blocks most of the view from the hotel, but it was far enough away for the noise not to carry. We arrived on Saturday afternoon on a self catering board, but the mini market closes for the afternoon, so we were unable to stock up on groceries. Shop should be open till 6pm on Saturdays. Nice hidden bumper at the entrance road for cars No idea what the "design" is supposed to be: Very nice modern Bali style outside, inside the rooms are tighty British-like with unbelievable ugly tyles on the floor and too much furniture. A little far out but we hired a car so this wasn't too much of an issue. Shop was not open long enough. maid need to spray for mosquitoes in every room as there was a lot in room. Hotel altitude few 230 meters above sea level and 5km from sea,mostly cloudy there in January Expensive Food,Snacks and Drinks. The daytime food menu was quite poor unless you like eating burgers, chips, pasta and pizzas whilst in Spain. I would have liked to see some more Spanish/Mediterranean food on the menu. Although there is a restaurant just up the road it would be nice to have this option poolside. Not very good entertainment. just d location. €7 to €9 taxi fare to get into town. no path r sidewalks available and road very dark to b using a bike on. We travelled as family of 4, 2 adults, 9 yr old and 3 yr old. Our apartment only had 1 double bed and single sofa bed in lounge. Not really accommodating. Infinity pool overlooked a construction site. The room we were allocated was in the middle of getting painted as we arrived with suitcases, after we complained the manager was less than helpful tried to palm is off with a free lunch and said to come back In 3 hours not the best when you been travelling for hours thought the night. After much negotiation they upgraded us to a better room so worked out well in the end . The hotel really need some renovation it´wordown!!!. Our apertment was very noisy I had problems with sleeping there,busy road behind.lots o stairs which with small children was nightmare.
