An extra bar or two, please!. rooms looking to neighbouring streets are a bit noisy (while windows opened); airconditioning can be better. No - it's a good basic hotel. Hard to find by car. Difficult parking. Their free internet pc at reception not working and nobody tried to getit functioning or explanation given. The hotel was full on our first night and we had clearly been allocated the worst room in the hotel. At best it was a single room in which they had assembled a double bed. We suspect we were given this room as we had booked through yorselves at a rate lower than normal. But the next day they did move us.There where almost no window at the room. the restaurant needs an overhaul, its to much like a works canteen, but no worrys loads of great restaurants within 10 min. walk. This has got to be the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. It was right on a main road, with a bar underneath open until at least 3am, and street cleaners working all night. They advertise the fact that they are near some historic steps but what they don't tell you is that street cleaning machines arrive at 6am to clean the steps. The room was too small.room service menus - out of date and not applicable. There was a very unpleasant smell in the bathroom which permeated the bedroom as well. The hotel was rather impersonal for my taste.The stack of plates at the buffet breakfast were filthy - dried food, particularly large globials of egg, were stuck to the plate. When I pointed it out to a memeber of staff she simply shrugged - and did nothing to replace them.
