We stayed here just one night here after our flight arrived in Madrid and we needed a hostel that was affordable and within walking distance to the train station for our early departure the next morning. For a double room with a private bathroom and free wifi, I thought it was worth the price. The receptionist was friendly, the hostel was clean and in good condition. It's not a fancy building on an attractive boulevard, but it's within a short walking distance to the train station, which is all.
all reviews » It's an hostal, not an hotel. Said that, everithing was really good: WiFi decent, clean room (they clean it every day) and the staff is very helpful. Position is very good: really close to atocha, to the retiro gardens, the Prado, the modern art museum.. And close to city centre as well. In case in the district there are too different bars/pubs.. Economical stay for a train journey the following morning. I wish 3 & 4 * hotels treated you with the same courtesy the owner of the Cordoba extends. Very clean albeit small rooms a bit tiered but you stay for the price. Location to Prado etc perfect. Great value My wife would be a bit grpressed here so it is for me when travelling alone. Budget hostal freshly painted, spotless, new bathroom. We needed accomm. close to PTA. Atocha station, this hostal was perfect. Managers very friendly and helpful. We appreciated warning at time of booking that wifi available only in reception area, in the end we did have a connection in our room. The location was ideal, just a block from Atocha. The room was simple, but clean and a good value for money at fifty four euros for a double room (no breakfast). Even though, our room faced a busy street, a double window isolated us well from the noise. I liked the location only 10 mins to rail/metro links and the main park - only approx 20-25 walk mins to city centre,facilities. I had an outside room but the double glazing ensured any noise/traffic(which there wasnt) from the street didnt disturb me. Very clean.linens n towels were always changed.linens smells fresh all the time I go to bed.it makes my sleep good.well kept rooms even their outside bathrooms are well maintained n very clean.im so satisfied with my stay in hostal cordoba. Very handy for the station and the museums, especially the Reina Sophia. We use the hotel on the way to and returning from holidays abroard. It is a short walk from the station and the airport bus. The staff are very freindly and helpful. Located near Atocha train station, easy access from Airport on the train, good place to stay if you plan to travel around Soain on the train, close to Reina Sofia Museum, and actually walking distance away from Sol. The rooms are a bit hot at night in the winter as I couldn't regulate the radiator. Room is very small, but we selected it intentionally (it's called 'small; on reservation), and it's not a problem. Door downstairs is locked and no key provided, you have to ring the doorbell everytime you go outside to smoke. air conditioner is a bit noisy. Other staff I met spoke no English at all. Room was a bit small. Nothing. bad wifi. Not very central. Shower without holder. Sloppy interior. shower was tiny and did not look very good so since I was staying one night only I didn't use it, and the room did not have natural light, so quite dark even during the day. But it could be nosy in night. no wifi in the room. Really old, probably never renewed!. Wifi didn't work very well at times, staff was not very helpful or kind.
