The hostal's cool shady courtyards, its unique charm and ambiance and the quaint but attractive individuality of the rooms, irrespective of whether it be a bedroom, dining area or the cosy intimacy of the bar.. We have visited El Anon many times over the years. It is a truly enchanting experience.Rooms are not luxurious but are furnished in an attractive rustic fashion. The many patios are a joy due to the owner's clever use of plants and the view from the rooftop swimming pool covers a panoramic view of this pretty village. Meals are excellent with Spanish and international influences and there are are several other good places to eat in the village.
The hostal itself is worth a trip to Jimena de la Frontera. I think it's the most special hotel we have visited. Lots of beautiful plants everywhere and a terrific view from the top terrace with swimmingpool.
