The 16th-century Palacio De Santa Ines, set in the Unesco World Heritage Albayzín district, is 5 minutes’ walk from Granada Cathedral. The hotel terrace offers panoramic views of the Alhambra, 20 minutes’ walk away. Set in 2 Mudéjar buildings, the hotel features a salon with an authentic Mudéjar panelled roof, built in 1512. Great position in the city especially for the Alhambra, nice room,everything worked! The restoration of this 16th century building is verysympathetic - a great example of blending the 21st century luxuries withthe medieval essentials! The breakfast buffet selection isexceptional...... They recommended excellent cultural experiences and restaurants -- made the reservations for us and all we had to do was show up -- I cannot say enough of their gracious hospitality.

Other reviewers' complaints about the lack of parking nearby are unfair given this is common to the majority of the city - cars are actively discouraged from entering the older part of Granada with good reason. It is no hardship to park in one of the garages on the outskirts and get a bus or taxi up to the hotel. A hotel full of character your description of which was accurate and informative. The historical elements are genuine and the refurbishment has been completed with sensitivity.Great setting, very attractive hotel. Suite of rooms for very reasonable price. I know this is not the custom in Spain but in Asia, England, Australia a hot water jug, and a small amount of coffee tea, sugar and milk is usually provided in hotel rooms which enable people to make an early morning cup of tea or coffee before they get dressed or before anything is open in the morning or during the night. This would be appreciated but is a minor point. No onsite parking, although in February the hotel staff pointed us to a free nearby parking area, 5-10 mins walk away. The alternative is public car parks which will cost and are further away. smell from the pipes. Being English, I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but perhaps that isn't notmal on the con tinent. Night staff spoke very little English, but we were able to make ourselves understood. expensive internet connection. No.Everything was excellent. Front Desk staff member seemed more interested in selling us tickets to flamenco nights. Slight musty smell but that is just the drains in these areas - not the hotel itself !. A bar or the possibility to purchase soft drinks --coffee etc. would have made the hotel even better. The courtyard was very noisy on Friday night.The hotel is heated using water filled radiators and they make quite a lot of noise. It kept me awake a little during the night. There is no direct car access to the hotel. You have to climb a few set of mild steps.the towels were not ok. No Coffee making facilities in room and nothing in mini- bar.Difficult to find by car. My new, top class TomTom GPS gave up. Car access limited. Best to leave car in park at edge of town and use taxi. From our room we could vaguely hear noises coming from the hall. Driving to and parking arrangements.Our room faced an alley way that was very noisy at night. The breakfast was expensive ($15 p.p.) and definitely not worth it. The hotel is not accesible by car and the information on the website is poor on this matter. Wifi wasn't working, breakfast was very over-priced. long walk up to the room with luggage as no lift but understand this is difficult in such an old building. The next door neighbours to our room 30, came in at 4 in the morning and were very noisy. Room insulation is very poor. There was a problem of reserving the visit to Alhambra through the hotel. The staff had problems reserving, they made a mistake with my credit card expiry date, so at the end I was forced to pay a guided tour, which I did not want, in order to be sure to have a ticket in. The tour was 45 EUR, instead of the 14 that I would give for the ticket only.

Hotel information details

The hotel comprises two small Mudejar buildings, that were built during the 16th century. The Alhambra Hall has an authentic Mudéjar panelled roof built in 1512 and for special occasions it can be converted into a dining room for groups of up to 35.

Its outstanding patio is beautifully decorated with paintings, a fountain, columns, balustrades, ornamental tiles and in particular the renaissance paintings given by Alejandro Mayner and Giulio Romano, disciples of Rafael, who came to Granada in 1520 to paint the Peinador de la Reina in the Alhambra and also the Palacio de Santa Inés.

Please note that road access is limited in the streets around Palacio de Santa Inés. Guests have discounts at 2 nearby car parks, and tickets must be bought at the hotel. The hotel will send you an email with directions to the parking. Please note that the parking space is subject to availability.

Travelling information

By Car:
- From the Autovia de Granada take the middle lane on Calle Recogidas leading onto Calle Reyes Catolicos.
- Here you will find a sign prohibiting the entrance of unauthorised vehicles, as a hotel guest you are authorised so continue forward.
- When you reach Plaza Nueva if the access to on your left-hand side is closed ring the bell for the hotel and we will let you in.
- Further up there is a sign for the hotel. We have a service to help guests with their luggage and cars (not available July and August).

We recommend that you park in a public car park Neptuno located directly next to the Exit 129 (Recogidas Centro) and take a taxi to the Hotel due to the difference of the price of the car parks. The closest one is more expensive. We do however offer valet parking between 10:00 and 18:00 if you choose to leave your car in the closest more expensive car park (not available July or August).
