The room was exceptionally clean. Large enough to not feel cramped with a nice sized shower along with good facilities such as slippers, shower caps etc. The bed was comfortable and king-sized using a memory foam mattress as were the rectangular pillows (there were no extra pillows in the room but the hostess did ask if we wanted more). The 21 inch TV worked fine with mainly Spanish and Catalan channels with one documentary channel during the day in English. Breakfast was served in the Kitch.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Hostal Rural Ca La Caputxeta for one night and it was outstanding. We arrived at about 8pm and Carmen, the owner of the Hostal, has already been waiting for us. She explained all the facilities of the property in detail and then showed us our room on the first floor. She even offered us to help with bringing the bags from the car to the room. The room was very clean and in typical cottage style. She also provided us with two free bottles of water. After we move. If you are travelling with young children this place is brilliant - you have a full kitchen at your disposal and the outdoor play area is completely secure. Rooms are modern and well kept. Kids had a great time running around and playing in the play house, and with the owners dogs. Its not often you find a place you can totally relax at let the kids run wild. Lots of things close by to do - butterfly park, beach. No amazing view, but quiet location - we will go back with no hesitation. Carmen and her husband were marvelous hosts, and nothing was too much trouble. They were a mine of information about local attractions and restaurants, and they were both wonderfully warm and welcoming. Breakfasts were excellent. Highly recommended. The room was comfortable with excellent facilities . Excellent Catalan style breakfast , and provision of a wood fire to barbecue was appreciated . The host was pleasant , helpful and attentive. The owner is very friendly and eager to help in sorting out where to go. The breakfast outdoors on the terrace was one of the best of theholiday. The garden is peaceful. The whole ambience, the wonderful welcome from Carmen, the old building beautifully modernised. access to beaches, towns and nature reserves. Everything was super! The warm hospitality, the lovely clean rooms , the location. No "in room tea service". We did mention it and the hostess agreed that at least a kettle should be available in the common kitchen area. Only one chair in the room so no where to sit except on the bed for one of us. (we were in a room for three) During the peak season (in the summer) this would be a wonderful place to attack the Costa Brava from, however during the closed season thats exactly what it is - closed. It is not as rural as it probably once was, with a residential area across the road. just a small thing, but some fresh fruit made available at breakfast, would make it the complete package.
