This is a good option on La Palma. The hotel is a comfortable place to stay while exploring the area but you must have a car. Santa Cruz de la Palma is a few kilometres away and is well worth a visit. You can also drive up to the observatories for stunning views. You will invariably see the sunshine up there and on the other side of the island (it is often cloudy and cooler on this side). Another good drive is up to the route of the volcanoes.
