The villages of Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmádena are within walking distance and there is direct access to the beach from the accommodation.

The apartment was great, had everything you needed, kettle, coffee maker, microwave & hob, iron & ironing board. When booking I asked for a sea view if possible and was very pleased to get one. The complex is surrounded by lovely gardens and the swimming pool area has fantastic views of the mountains. The pools are great, although not all the pools and slides were open everyday as it was mid September when we stayed. The staff at The Kingfisher Reception were really friendly and help.
all reviews » The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the resort well maintained. Our apartment was clean with a balcony looking out over the gardens and sea. Although cooking facilities were limited, there was sufficient to cook properly. The main pool was huge and my young son loved the water slides linking it to the smaller pool. The sun loungers were reasonable priced and the gardens where you could put them well-maintained, spacious and right by the pools. Only 200m from the beach and restauran. Absolutly everything i can not fault the kingfisher club at all. All staff was excellant and freiendly the apartment was fantastic and very clean so much more than expected. Do not listen or read the bad views people write i dont know how anyone could write anything bad about this hotel. Soon as i got home from holiday i was back on the internet to rebook for next year. Pools are amazing. I would recommend anyone looking to book please do you will not be dissapointed. Perfect location near the beach, beautiful park, big supermarket Merkadona and lots of cafés and bars. Bus 128 from/to the airport is just 5 minutes by walk and 3,40€\per person. Bus stop to Pueblo (old city center) is next door to the hotel and 1,55€\per person. Selwo marina delfinarium is 10 minutes by walk. The mix of pools and areas surrounding eg quiet spots but also music playing. The grass is looks very well. Internet area is very good. The taxi rank is near. The supermarket is a must. Perfect for a family or single parent travelling with teenagers, the pool side social scene was wonderful, also the sun bed facilitys, although they were €3 per bed it was worth it. As our holiday was taken in December it was very quiet. Staff helpful and pleasant so a good holiday had by all. Near to the beach, a few bars (that were open) and restaurants. Easy helpful check in. Staff very knowledgeable about the resort and the area in general. Seemed to genuinely care that we had a good holiday. Location accomadation and friendly staff. the luxury of the hotel in general. it looks very chique and pleasant. staff was helpfull and very friendly. Proximity to lots of restaurants and bars and also the swimming pools. The Pool!. A few amenites were closed as it is classed as Out Of Season from October 1st, but there was still more than enough to keep us happy. The main road by the beach was very busy (There were 2 level crossings nearby). I liked everything. Only 1 towels change during 9 nights stay and no linen change at all. The cost of using the gym. The KF staff were excellent however the lack of assistance after-hours could be a hindrance to some. They could do with in bar entertainment music on the patio area looking out to the pools. If you want peace and quiet I wouldn't think this complex is for you during the peak season but would recommend it during the closed/winter season. The infamous 'cardiac hill' could be a problem for those folk who find walking up steep hills a problem!. Comfortable bed but very noisy, we wakened every time we moved. Also was a double but had a king last year which my 6' 3" partner really needs. Little or no wi-fi in the appartments, poolside restaurant too expensive, very few tv channels, our appartment had a dodgy door lock that one had to fight with every time . the bed was not very comfortable. Its a shame that the sun was never on the balcony. The complex is a bit run down and needs an update in the common areas. We did not like the fact that most of the watherslides where still closed in june. They only open up all the slides in July and August. the securityguards where to strict at the poolarea we think and the children could not play with their airtoys or balls in the wather. Some slides did not open at all and ones that were open closed for 2 hours during the day. steep hill to reception. pidgeon poo on balcony. Not all the facilities were opened. Just spanish Tv chanels. Directions to our apartment on arrival on the 1st night,a disaster . Also the Drilling work in the apartment next our during the early morning. the water in the afternoon turned quickly cold. almost not possible to take a shower for two persons. the bed was horrible, very hard, problems with lying all night without a painkillers. The blurb about private access to beach/sea was totally incorrect and misleading. We did not like the amount of cockroaches in our room. i personally think that we should have been offered a different room as this this is unhygienic as we had small kids with us and for us as-well! At least a discount should had been offered as there was no more rooms available..... i will not be staying with you hotel ever again and i will make sure that all my friends and family know what we went through staying at you apartments with the cockroaches..
