The hostel was very clean even though bathrooms are shared. Rooms were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helped us a lot. I could stay just two days and wanted to stay more but there was no empty room the location is perfect I went to barcelona by train and the hotel was very close to the train station it is also very close to the beach and barceloneta metro station. Next time I would like to stay more in the hostel.
all reviews » The location is great and the double bed room was quite OK for the price we pay. The bathroom was comfortable. The building is quite old and a bit degraded but they arranged the hostel so that you don't get depressed. Don't expect to be at a Hilton, but if you want to save some money still being in one of the best part of the city this should be at the top side of your list. Very neat and clean, liked the bright colours and daily cleaning. Great location. Friendly staff. Safe box in the room, new TV with lots of Spanish channels... nice :) Receptionist upon arrival didn't speak too much of English but the other two his colleagues did, all were nice and friendly. Everything was as I expected, or better. The main entrance makes the place appear dingy and dirty but when you get inside It's clean and Well maintained. Hostel is based on the second floor without any lift inside. I've travel with bike and it wasn't so good to get it upstairs all the time. The shower time is given only 5 minutes to save water. I would like to save water but it is really very rush to take a shower for only 5 minutes especially the day trip is tiring. They will mention it if you take the bathroom for long time. Because of the fantastic location the room we stayed in was very noisy overnight with all the traffic. Traffic noise at the front room during the night. beware the extra costs. Hard to find the entrance, windows give the great opportunity for neighbours to spy on you. Nothing, it is a nice hostel. Some restrictions were just absurd. Staff was overcautious, asked to pay in advance... The room was supertiny, but I expected that for the price. One needs to ring the staff every time entering the place. The ring bothers another guests. Not a great solution. Impossible to wash clothes. The impression of hostel: -very unfriendly staff -restriction on the return to the hostel (until 23h00) -time restriction for taking a shower (5 min) -water savings in the hostel -staff almost do not speak English -internet(WiFi) does not work -staff totally controls the arrangement of the room -additional fee for the use of bed linen, towels -additional fee for credit card payments -rude criticisms by staff for not fulfilling their rules assess 1 from 5. The was a separate charge for bed linings (technically increasing the cost of this place). The 'services' stated (refrigerator, laundry, wifi) weren't very good. The wifi always dropped out and was slow. There was no air conditioner...the fan provided didn't do any good. We slept with no sheet the entire time because it was so hot in the rooms. Tax and sheet-cost is not included in the total price. Customer would be charged 5% of the total if use card (both debit&credit card) to pay the price. The owner did not allow guest to wash clothes and shower should be taken within 5 minites. Shared bathroom / shower Low capacity of the free wifi router DHCP (you can connect, but you cannot get an IP.) So, at some time you have problems. tip: It could be resolved by the wifi setup easily or use static IP). Room is too small. evening staff english is really really poor but he is nice. I did not think living in this hotel is quite comfortable cuz I have to speak very very quietly.Quite narrow place.Water is limited .I was not permited to wash my clothes. The kichen can not be used.
