From the friendly and helpful staff, to the modern design, amazing rooms and great location, the Olivia Balmes Hotel will be one of the hot spots in a year time. For being open only a few months, they really have their act together and want to return soon!. Excellent staff, especially there is a girl in reception ( Ania ), who helped us so much for choosing the restaurants. Many thanks to her !!! Beside this all inside of hotel is new and really so clean. Wifi was good all over the hotel.

Located at the shopping district of the city, near Gaudí's casa Milà and casa Batlló, and less than 10min walk from the breathtaking Sagrada Família. The staff at this hotel could not do enough for us. They recommended and booked superb restaurants, arranged day trips and even investigated an incident when we were overcharged and retrieved the money owing. Excelent location,very modern nice and comfortable room, close to Casa Mila, rambla Catalunya with very good restorants and shops as vell, higly recomended!!!!! Frendly and supportive staff!. Room was spacious, clean and very new/modern style. Service was excellent, had a few requests and staff was very eficient. No doubt that I would come back again. The room was fantastic, and tell all my friends about amazing roof pool which I had the pleasure of using and you will see again thank you alex bartolo malta. the staff were amazing and really went outof their way to help and make our staff fantastic. Bring slippers and hair conditioner the hotel does not provide any. Rate on letsbookhotel.com didn't include breakfast. Would of liked a facility to change and refresh as we had a late flight out of barcelona we did have use of the toilet but not really convenient. Only one thing I noticed: Really bad wifi, had to sit close to main door :(. Cleaning of the room could be improved. Nothing. The first night the air conditioning did not work. They gave us a new room from the next day, so we were ok for the rest of the stay. The coffee machine at breakfast. If you are a couple it is ok but if not it must be disturbing to have the shower in the middle of the room. There is no convenient mirror in the shower and you can watch into the bathroom from the bedroom - no privacy which is inconvenient. The shower was a bit too 'open plan' for a group of friends (fine for a couple) Also it had a tendancy to direct water onto the room floor. i was living at thr 4th floor and felt that metro under.... Nothing.. Great hotel. Nothing. Would have liked a hotel information pack in the room. In room was little bit cold. But we said about it on reception. And the issue was solved in a few minutes!. Towels leave lint all over your body and in your hair. Bed linens aren't of the quality that should be found in a 5 star hotel. Could feel the subway running just underneath. Staff. noisy, not enough soundproofed, poor breakfasts, food & drinks in the restaurant are not tasty in generally, very cold bathroom.
