Friendly staff (one man spoke Spanish, English and French), clean and large rooms, a good bed and a proper bathroom. Very good airconditioning (although you can't regulate it yourself, but it switches off at night so you don't get sick while sleeping). The location is superb, it's located just next to the boqueria market (so you are never far from lively areas and fresh food). The building pit next to the hostel did not have any negative influence on us, but do make sure you have earplugs. Also.

The common toilet was always clean. Breakfast was OK. It was the best hostel I stayed in my Eurotrip. If you are in a budget trip. This is where you must stay in Barcelona. Breakfast with orange juice and fresh fruits, extremely helpful staff (special thanks to Joaquinn and Felip and also Arieanne), perfect location right in the middle of La Rambla, Wi-fi inside room (I stayed 104), very clean shared bathrooms, keeping luggages for free.. Can not find better place for the same price.. the place is great just 1 simple turn and a few couple of meters and your on the main road of la ramblas, the reception is manned 24/7 therefore there is always someone willing to help you out and there are very friendly and looking forward to help... rooms are cozy and the beds are very comfortable. the hostal was in the center of Barcelona the location was perfect, the staff was very polite and helpful. the rooms were very clean they change our sheets and towels every day.the breakfast ws very nice. thanks for everything if i come to Barcelona again i will choose this hostal again. :). Little noisy till late at night and early in the morning. Not a big issue. It could be better to have a TV inside the room.. But no problem at all.. You're in BCN so you should not spend your time watching TV :). small issue might be next to it there is a construction site where builders start to work early (around 8 spanish time) therefore it might be a little noise depends on the work being done. we tried to be positive about this and used them as our smooth alarm clock :). Like all old buidings in central Barcelona, it has limited soundproofing so subject to noise from outside and other rooms. Gave up trying to get the wifi working. The lack of hot water all the time. After a tiring day on the streets a person wants only a hot shower and when its not possible to get it, because the hot water is over, its really frustrating feeling that can spoil your day. There's temporary building work just across the street, I knew that before I came but it wasnt as irritating and loud as i expected. Didnt bother us at all. And yeah, some people complain about hot water in the shower, but for me it was ok. You dont really need hot water when it's +35 outside. There are some constructions near the hostel. As for me I didn't hear it in the morning (maybe because it was Saturday), but some people say they make a lot of noise. Thin walls and building works nearby made it quite noisy. The first room we had was very noisy. One window was opposite a building site (drilling started very early in the morning), the other window was opposite the market (setting up began at 3am). It was much too hot to close the windows, so this was a bit of a nuisance. The only other thing I wasn't impressed with was the breakfast that was laid on. The meat and cheese looked very unappetising. BEYOND HOSTEL CONTROL and not a problem for me there was a building site which some people complain about. When completed this will ENHANCE the value of the hostel. Not very very comfort beds. Rooms are noisy so ear plugs are needed if your a light sleeper. When we stayed there was a lot of building work going on at the market next door, however it didnt disturb us too much, only woke us up one morning when we left the balcony doors open. Hostel was a little dificult to find upon first arrival. The front door of the hotel is a little difficult to find, maybe you can tell guests that find the Boqueria Market and there is a street on the right, go through it and turn right at the end of this street, you will find the hotel. The block across from the hotel is under development so there was some construction dirt/noise - but not really a problem as we were out and about for most of the day. Breakfast could be better. The noise of construction works nearby wakes you upon the morning. There was only one minus: there is a building work very near to the hotel and the noise starts very early and its horrible. There is a construction in front of the hostel. With a TV on the room it would have been even better. Hot water flow in bathroom is not constant. Construction in front of hostal. There were some building works going on nearby so it was a little noisy but that's not the fault of the hostel. No toilette in the room. Though close to La Rambla, didn't feel safe walking home in the night. Best to return until dark, especially if you are alone. Nothing. Quite expensive for a room with shared toilet!. Wasn't allowed to come for guests. Rooms without wc,. ...couldn't find a thing to not like. breakfast but ok for the price. Little noisy but I slept very well. A negative impact on anyone would be the near construction site. Work started each morning at 06:00 AM, causing masive noise. Again maybe the hostel itself is not to blaime. Bathroom size is small, but just enough(don't expect a big sink or bathtube). We were unlucky to have the opposite building under construction that days, as a result there was a lot of noise! The rooms are really small and the breakfast a bit poor!. -Hotel breakfeast room is small but it is not a big problem. And This is not too much important bur I dont like the room's curtains. Green and nylon.They make me feel like a hospital :) I hope,They can change in the future. The hotel is next to a construction site, so you don't need an alarm to be awake in the morning. The air conditioning system (which is central for the whole floor) was rather noisy at night. Room was small but I expected that. The most annoying thing was the absence of toilet (you have to cross the corridor to get there). There was a shower and sink in the room though. There was almost no place to put your things in the room. Almost nothing. Just a little bit of more cleanless in the bath would have been better. Terrible location for our room. There are 4 or 5 rooms by the front desk and we got the one closest. The noise was terrible. Also street noise was very bad. Could not get a good night's sleep. No chance to change rooms as the hotel was fully booked. If you stay here make sure you insist that you not be assigned rooms 101 to 105. Not sure about other rooms. We were booked for 3 nights but left after 1. I didn't like that, near hotel, there are building something, and the noise of builders are waking you up... facility was not enough. noisy neighbors, paper walls uncomfortable bed. Noisy because there is a construction going on. When the staff talk is very noisy too.. Water in shower not always hot, it can run out unpredictably. Room for breakfast is too small so not all guests can have breakfast at the same time. Too small and with broken stuff shower room. Toilet outside the room. Noise from the market.No TV set, hairdryer.
